CHAPTER FOUR, ridiculous

Kalia laughs when Ben started dancing. "He can't be serious."

"I believe he is and I'm very tempted to record this." Flynnley laughed.

"What was in that cookie?" Mal asked with a chuckle. Flynnley glanced at her with a confused look along with Kalia, but their attention was brought to Ben when he started singing.

"Did I mention that I'm in love with you? And did I mention there's nothing I can do?" Ben jumps off the Dragon Cannon and continues to dance. "Did I happen to say I dream of you every day? Well, let me shout it out loud, if that's okay, hey, hey."

Kalia dances along with the other girls, but Mal had her arms crossed and she jumped when they all shouted 'hey' along with the crowd. "If that's okay." The crowd then shouts 'hey' again. Kalia cheers loudly, smiling widely when she noticed Carlos started dancing along with Ben. Carlos blushes faintly upon hearing Kalia cheering for him and he couldn't help the smile that formed on his face. "I met this girl that rocked my world like it's never been rocked. To now I'm living just for her and I won't ever stop. I never thought that it could happen to a guy like me. But now look at what you've done," He kneels down, pointing at Mal. "You got me down on my knees."

Then the rest of the Tourney team joins in on dancing along with Ben. "Because my love for you is ridiculous." Carlos and another player help Ben back up on his feet since he had rolled onto his back. "Who knew?" Carlos questioned.

"That it could be like this." Evie and Kalia grin at Mal, both holding on her arms and shaking her to try to get her to move along with the song. Mal smiles slightly, a genuine smile this time as she rolls her eyes playfully when Evie and Kalia said 'ridiculous' along with Ben. "My love for you is ridiculous." Ben puts the microphone back on its stand that Jay had brought over for him.

"My love is r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s." Ben then made the letter of the word 'ridiculous'. Then everyone copied his movements.

"R-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s."

Ben sings into the mic. "It's..."

"Ridiculous!" Everyone shouted.

"Just..."

"Ridiculous!" Everyone shouted again.

"And I would give my kingdom for just one kiss." Ben picks up the mic stand, still holding onto the mic as he bends slightly and walks forward. The whole time keeping eye contact with Mal while he smiles. "Did I mention I'm in love with you? And did I mention there's nothing I can do?" He stands straighter, setting the mic stand down in front of him. "And did I happen to say I dream of you everyday? Well, let me shout it out loud if that's okay, hey, hey. Yeah, if that's okay. I gotta know which way to go. Come on, give me a sign. You gotta show me that you're only ever gonna be mine."

"Don't wanna go another minute livin' without you. 'Cause if your heart just isn't in it, I don't know what I'd do." Ben leans backwards and the team holds him up before he jumps forward. "Because my love for you is ridiculous. I never knew."

"Who knew?" Everyone questioned.

"That it could be like this. My love for you is ridiculous." Everyone shouts the word 'ridiculous' while Ben sings it. "My love is r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s."

Once again everyone copies Ben's movements. "R-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s."

"It's.."

"Ridiculous!" Everyone shouted.

"Just..."

"Ridiculous!" Everyone repeated.

"And I would give my kingdom for just one kiss. Come on, now. Ho. Oh, yeah. Ho. Yow." Ben runs around, high fiving each of the team members. Kalia cheers 'go, carlos' loudly whenever he did a split. "Alright."

Ben takes his jersey off, throwing it to Mal. "Hey!" Everyone yelled. Mal gasped as she caught the jersey and she couldn't help the smile that formed on her lips.

"Because my love for you is ridiculous." Ben walks over to the horse mascot and gets on top. "I never knew." The cheerleaders and the team followed as the horse mascot walked down the field with Ben.

"Who knew?" Everyone inquired.

"That it could be like this. My love for you is ridiculous." Ben then leans back as male cheerleaders caught him. "My love is r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s."

"R-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-us."

Kalia gasps when Ben was thrown into the crowd and he began crowd surfing. "It's..."

"Ridiculous."

"Just..." Ben sang.

"Ridiculous."

"And I would give my kingdom for just one kiss. Come on now." The crowd set Ben down right in front of Mal. She jumps, startles upon suddenly seeing him there. Everyone cheered and applauded loudly at the end of the song. Ben goes in to kiss her, but Mal quickly stopped him.

Ben chuckles, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "I love you, Mal. Did I mention that?"

Kalia rolls her eyes upon seeing Audrey storming over with Chad following her. Audrey grabs the mic from Ben, announcing, "Chad's my boyfriend now!" She smiles, wrapping her arm around Chad, who smiled. "And I'm going to the coronation with him. So I don't need your pity date." She told Ben before she kissed Chad. Kalia noticed the frown on Evie's face which made her frown and put a comforting hand on Evie's shoulder. Evie glanced at her with a thankful smile and Kalia nodded, smiling at her in response. She knew that Evie liked Chad so it must've hurt to see Audrey claim he's her boyfriend and see her kiss him.

Ben takes the mic from her, looking at Mal with a smile. "Mal! Will you go to the coronation with me?" Audrey pulled away from the kiss, scoffing when Mal said yes and pushed Chad to the side before she walked away.

"Yes!" Mal replied.

"She said yes!" Ben shouted excitedly, smiling at everyone. Everyone cheered loudly.

"Let's go, Ben!" Jay said as he joins him on the bleachers with the trophy in hand. "the whole team's waiting for you." Ben then left with Jay.

"What a victory. What a day for the Auradon Knights, finally winning back the trophy after so many years." The announcer spoke.

"I feel really sorry for Audrey." Mal says to Evie.

Evie furrows her eyebrows. "You do?"

"Yeah." Mal nods. "I feel like if she were talented like you, and she knew how to sew and knew beauty tips, that she wouldn't need a prince to make her feel better about herself."

Evie chuckles and she smiles widely. "I guess I am kind of talented."

Mal chuckles. "You are definitely gifted."

"Yeah, so who cares about Chad." Kalia speaks up. "You're much better off without him."

Evie smiles at her friends. "Thanks, girls."

"Oh my gosh." Flynnley laughs when she saw the team was carrying Jay. "Look at Jay!" Her friends looked at the field where the team and the cheerleaders were at cheering with each other. The team had picked up Jay and were carrying him. He raised the trophy in the air with a grin on his face.

"And there he is!" The announcer said. "Jay, the most valuable player! How do you like that?"

A/N thanks to the song ben sang i now know how to spell ridiculous. i had to look up how to count in spanish cause i didnt know how to spell cuatro lol. also i want a ben, i want someone to sing did i mention to me in front of the school, pls i love him so much. but honestly i feel bad for the people as the horse mascot. i mean, who thought it was a good idea to have ben on the horse mascot? sure it kinda looked cool, but i still feel bad for the people who had to carry ben
