5:30 a.m
As I wake up earlier than I need to , I feel this quenching thirst in my throat. I know why though. The school announced that there would be a new student and as the popular girl , I needed to know who. Was it a boy ? Or a girl ? I threw on a white tank top and a pair of black denim bottoms with those kind of high heels that have over 12 straps. It was annoying to put them on but it was worth looking my best for the new student. I did my best makeup as possible . Or the usual. Winged eyeliner is my favorite . I did nothing to my hair since it's already wavy enough. I said goodbye to my family as I drove with my friends to school . My stomach was in knots. I was so nervous to see that new face. Especially since they would be in my same classroom. I sat in my seat and waited for that special moment. Then she walked in. Yes , she. But I felt desire as she sat next to me. She was , beautiful. No don't take it the wrong way. Ok never mind , I like her. No , I don't. I'm not sure. Her name was Karla Camila. But she preferred being called ' Camila ' or ' Camz' .
" Hi. Welcome."
" Hi , um , are you okay ? "
She began waving at my face. I couldn't help but stare.
" Oh yeah I just thought that yo- "
Ugh , stupid bell had to ring. Her next class was Science while I zoned on to Math.
I couldn't stop thinking about her . Why did I feel this way ?
I didn't see her all day. Not even lunch.
" Lauren .. Lauren ! Snap out of it !" said Amanda , my best friend.
" Huh? Oh sorry . It's just that Camila.."
" Oh the new girl ? Don't tell me you're a lesbian. "
" No , it's just that... Hey you calling lesbians gross ?!"
" No I just thought you were flirting with Matthew the other day. "
" I was , but I just need more time to think. "
She was right. I was flirting with Matthew the other day. Not just silly flirting. It was , more than that. But I never felt special with Matthew . I felt special with Camila. It's too soon to say I love her. But maybe I do.
