"i love cheesy poooofs~"
"cartman can you shut the hell up? you're distracting me."

three boys waited at a crowded baggage claim in the denver international airport.

"not my fault your stupid cousin is taking so long." a stout boy with light brown hair spit back. he wore a red coat that was unzipped, underneath he had on a white shirt that said 'i ❤️ casa bonita'.

"the plane must not have landed yet." the other boy responded, rolling his eyes. he looked as if he had just woke up, although it was around 3pm on a saturday. his hair was black and somewhat oily, covered with a blue and red striped beanie. he wore a light brown pleather jacket with a collar that stuck up to his chin, and a red hoodie as a bottom layer.

the third boy sat on a bench next to them, his phone out. he was sporting an orange tattered hoodie with patches all along the sleeves. his hair was just a rugged as his clothes, a blonde mullet with choppy bangs that fell just barely over his eyes.

"seriously stan i thought you said the plane landed at 3?" the boy in the orange spoke up.
"yeah, kenny it was supposed to... maybe it got delayed." the boy with the raven hair stood on his toes to try and look above the heaps of people frantically running to grab their bags.

cartman sighed to himself before starting to hum again. "if we didn't eat cheesy poooo-"
"oh wait- there! y/n! y/n!!" stan waved his arms around, grabbing the attention of a girl just on the other side of the baggage claim belt.

"oh nuh uh stan. you didn't tell us your cousin was a chick." cartmans eyes angrily narrowed at the tall boy.
"i didn't think it mattered." he replied, still waving his arms up, not looking at the agitated boy next to him.
kenny chuckled to himself, eyes still on his phone.
"shutup kenny. you're literally holding an iphone 8 right now." cartmans eyes flickered to kenny.
he looked up from his phone, his eyelids hooding over his light blue gaze. "fuck you dude."

"y/n! hey!"
you ran up with your large suitcase pulling along behind.
"stan!" you grinned. letting go of your bag, you threw your arms open wide to hug your cousin. "i feel like i haven't seen you in forever!"
stans chin rested on the top of your head. he patted your back in a friendly gesture.
"its been a while, yeah." he smiled.

your eyes darted around at all the people. "my dad couldn't have bothered to come pick me up?" your eyes widened slightly as you realized you sounded upset. you chuckled lightly. "joking, obviously."
"he's out hunting right now.. you know, deer season and all." stan shrugged.
you nodded and looked away awkwardly waiting for stan to introduce you to the two guys who stood behind him.

"oh shit sorry, this is kenny and cartman. guys this is y/n."
a smile made it to your face, which was red from the cold airport.
"nice to meet you guys." you went to grab your bag, but another hand had gotten to it first.
"i got it for ya don't worry." kenny grinned and winked at you as he started to roll it toward the big glass doors out to the loading and unloading station, his smile revealed a chipped front tooth.

"hah, thank you-" you gripped onto your carryon bag you had on your back.
stan shook his head and turned to walk out the doors, catching up to kenny.
"weak dude that's my cousin." he snarled quietly.

kenny carefully put your baggage into the bed of a large navy blue truck. stan ran around to the drivers side, jumping in and starting the engine quickly to warm up from the brisk colorado air. the other two boys hopped into the back seat, allowing you to sit up front. stan began to back the truck out of the airport parking lot.

stans eyes navigated to you, his head still facing the road.
your elbow was situated on the windows ledge, your skin cold from its contact with the frosty glass. your head rested softly in your palm and a soft smile was relaxed upon your face.
"so.." stan started. "how's aunt m/n?" your head perked up, but your smile faded. suddenly you could only think about the reason you were in this setting in the first place.

"i wish i could say she's doing well, but i wouldn't be here if she was doing well." you looked down, and cursed yourself for making it awkward. "sorry i don't mean to sound depressing. she's fighting strong. that's all she can do right now."

your mom had been diagnosed with a heart disease about a month before. you were in the hospital with your mom the day you both found out, but still you didn't really understand fully what it meant. at the time you especially didn't know what was in store for your life. how it would change. but between your mom being single and all the hospital bills, she couldn't afford to take care of the two of you anymore, since her condition made it hard for her to work as much as she used to.

so you was sent to live with your dad, jimbo until further notice. in south park colorado. while you loved your dad, you guys didn't have a whole lot in common, and you'd had always been closer with your mom.

trying to find the bright side of the situation, you thought about being able to see her cousins stan and shelly. and your aunt sharon and uncle randy. but starting a new school and meeting new people at this point in your life seemed more unappealing than anything else at that moment.

"i'm sorry y/n." stan pursed his lips gawkily. you sighed and smiled in an attempt to lighten the mood. just because things weren't super good right now didn't mean you had to think about it. your hand reached over to the trucks radio, turning the music up.
"woah, stan since when do you listen to beastie boys?" you chuckled.
"a lot has changed since you last saw me." he shrugged.

kenny's eyes were closed tight as he screamed to the song.
"you gotta fight-" he pitched his voice up "for your right-"
you and stan joined in, stan turning the music up even louder.
"to paaaaaarty!"

after about an hour and a half of driving through fields of snow, you finally passed a sign reading 'south park'. your head perked up once again, realizing you made it. stan turned the music down as the truck slowed to drive through the small town.

"welcome to south park y/n." he said nonchalantly. "probably nothing compared to california." he looked out the window, trying to picture what his hometown might look like to someone who'd never been.

you smiled and looked out the window. small buildings lined the downtown street. you quietly made note of certain businesses you'd want to check out when you were alone. a coffee shop, a small movie theater, even a photo developing studio. you guys reached a small neighborhood, the houses were all perfectly lined up, a lot of them looking very similar.

"kenny you mind if we drop you off first?" stan looked into the rear view mirror at the blonde, who was leaning in the back with his hands up behind his neck.
"no problem man." stan pulled up to a light green house, broken furniture and beer bottles sprinkled around the yard, the grass covered in a soft blanket of snow. kenny sat up and opened the door, a smirk falling on his face.
"see you guys." he got out and tapped on the passenger window, causing you to roll it down. he laid his arms down in the window and set his head upon them. "was nice meeting you y/n." he smiled and winked at you. stans eyebrows furrowed at kenny.
"dude."

next was cartman, who got out and slammed stans truck door without saying anything.
"don't mind him, he's an asshole."
you chuckled. "i'll remember that."
"you wanna come hang out with us back at my place while your dads out?"
"sure. it would be nice to see your parents."
"perfect."
