After my shift, I was resting on my bed till I had a call. I answered and I had known this voice from million
Nathaniel: hi Marinette. I'm sorry if I bother you but ...
Marinette: but what?
Nathaniel: but I wanted to hear your voice
I was quiet, I don't know what to answer, all of this happened suddenly after a whole year without Nathaniel
Nathaniel: Marinette, say something, why are you quiet?
Marinette: how you got my phone number?
Nathaniel: I want to see you; I want to talk with you
Marinette: I don't think this is good for me or you, you are married and I'm going to be engaged soon, we have nothing to talk about Nathaniel. Everything is over between us
Nathaniel: maybe over for you, but I never forget you.
Marinette: Nath, don't fucking mess with me better
Nathaniel: please Marinette, I want to meet you just for once, I need to talk with you and if you want after that, I won't annoy you ever again
Marinette: there is no need for a meeting together, and don't disturb me again, forget about my number, next time I won't pick up the phone and answer you
And I hang up the phone, and put it on the night stand. I didn't need this to happen just after that I'm getting along with Adrien and that our wedding will be soon
I couldn't sleep all the night, thinking about Nath and his call and this is annoying me
The next day at work, I was in my shared office with Luka. He wasn't here, he has a patient to take care of, but I had nothing, just sitting and thinking about what happened, till I heard knocks on the door
Marinette: get in
After I said, Adrien gets in, a smile on his face. then he closed the door behind him
Adrien: hi love
Marinette: hi Adrien
Adrien: how was your day?
Marinette: good
I said as I stand up and went to the counter beside the window but Adrien followed me
Adrien: what's wrong Mari?
Marinette: no, nothing, I'm fine
Adrien: you look flushed and it looks like you didn't sleep
Marinette: I didn't sleep all night
Adrien: are you alright? You feel good?
Marinette: yes, don't worry about that
Adrien: as usual, after work, we will go out, but this time, I'll take you to an amazing place
Marinette: I'm sorry Adrien, I don't want to go out today, I want just to sleep
Adrien was so close to me, and I could say he was worried but suddenly, the door is opened and Luka get in
Luka: sorry doctor, we need you at room 410
Adrien: fine, I'm coming
As Luka left, Adrien looks back at me, but he was kinda sad
Adrien: go back home and rest, I'll find someone to replace you today and later I'll call you
