Avery's POV

I took him by the hand getting him to the top step with me. I released his hand but without losing contact with him as my hands went to his cheeks to bring him down so I could join our lips.

His hands went to my waist and I could feel the ghost of a smile threatening to escape his lips.

The noise around us snapped me out of my trance and I suddenly realized what I had done. I had kissed Max, in front of everyone on the circuit and millions of people back home.

-I guess you didn't like the soft launch plan anymore?- his cheecks had turned red as he glanced down to our teams.

-I'm sorry I couldn't take it anymore. I'm sorry.- He brushed away the champagne soaked strands of hair that had stuck to my face.

-It doesn't matter. I dont care anymore. It will be okay.

-Max, I won.- I say still not believing it at all.

-I know zonneschijn.- He went again for a quick kiss and smiled widely when he heard the whistles coming from the people below, he was enjoying this too much- I'm so proud Avery, I love you so much.

-I love you too. God I adore you, I'm so happy that I could...

I stopped myself, not knowing if I really dared to continue that sentence.

-That you could what?

-I'm so happy that I could marry you right now.

He looked at me stunned, I think he imagined anything but this. It's stupid to say this now but I hadn't been able to get the idea out of my head since Vegas.

Come on Max, have the little self control I lack right now.

-Sorry, the adrenaline and...

He grabbed me around the waist and lifted me in the air, me holding onto his shoulders as he leads us offstage. Once out of the spotlight, he leaves me on the ground and takes my cheeks in his hands.

-Repeat what you just said.

-I could marry you right now.- And it was true, take me to a town hall right now and I would sign all the necessary papers.

He kissed me again leaving me breathless, his hand on the back of my hair keeping me close to him.

-Again.

-Max!

-I want to hear it again.- he bit his lower lip suppressing his smile as he waited for my answer.

-I'm so happy that I would marry you right now Max.

-Stay with that thought, this conversation is not going to stop here.- he said after looking behind me at someone who must be coming our way.

I turn and see Marie approaching us, she was also soaked, she must have been a victim of one of the mechanics and their bottles of champagne.

-I would kill you right now if it wasn't for how happy I am, don't you understand what keep it lowkey mean?

-Look, on the positive side, you will no longer have to interrupt your vacation for a press conference.- behind her came some more people I couldn't see before the ceremony too.

-Avery, superstar!- my team principan cheered going in for a hug.

-Hey Mike.

-Congratulations champion, always knew you could do it.

I saw how Christian also came over to greet Max.

-I should have offered you more money- he joked after congratulating me.
