The Quest Mission (ON HIATUS)

Chapter 4

That was a few minutes before Star left the circus to join the brothers in the quest. Who knows how long it will take before all the ingredients will be found by them? Star had adventure clothes on and she made sure she felt comfortable so she could move easily. Benjamin was currently in the bathroom outside while Brutus and Star were waiting for him outside.

"Come out, Benjamin! I have to get out of here before I start screaming!" shouted Brutus from outside to his older brother.

Benjamin chuckled as he rinsed off his face with cool water. "Yeah, yeah. I'm coming, Marvin fan."

Star couldn't help but smile a little. She looked at Brutus. "Screaming for what?"

Brutus had red cheeks and looked incredibly happy when he, along with his brother and Star, left the circus. "Oh, I don't know. I met my biggest idol and he hugged me too? That's all!"

Star saw that Brutus had stars in his eyes and she giggled. It's cute to hear how Brutus is like that now. Also, he was acting like an adult at such an age. Everyone has a little bit of a childish character in them. Probably.

Benjamin finally came out and just put on his gloves. "Let's give Brutus some fan chill pills."

But then everything went faster than expected. A furry dog came out of nowhere, grabbed Benjamin by the collar of his shirt, and held him against the wall. The dog looks tremendously like a breed of wolf, but it is actually a beautiful Siberian husky. The dog has a grin on its face and it looks scary. "Did you miss me?"

Star started asking questions. What is going on? Who is that dog? She saw how Benjamin looked nervous and didn't seem happy to see him either. Then the Siberian husky showed its sharp teeth and claws. "No worries. It will be quick and painless."

But Benjamin doesn't care. He has no idea why that Siberian husky is after him along with his brother. Yes, the dog has a brother he works with. The demon used all its power to kick the dog where the sun didn't shine and took off. Benjamin grabbed Star's hand in his and dragged her with him to run on. Star didn't know what was going on now but decided not to say anything. She did panic when she heard the snarls and also the dog's growls. What's his name? But Star really panicked when she heard a gun charging and shot with it toward her and Benjamin. The demon ducked himself and Star in time before they were both hit by the bullet.

"Benjamin! Star!" cried Brutus with full panic as he ran away from a spotted Siberian husky chasing him. The spotted dog was the brother of the other Siberian husky that held Benjamin up against the wall.

Everyone panted. Brutus is behind his older brother as the demon pushed Star behind with an angry look on his face. He is going to protect his beloved Star and Brutus from his enemies. But everything went too fast and something happened that shocked everyone. The Siberian husky, having a gun, loaded it and fired with it. It didn't hit the demon, wolf, or rabbit hybrid. It hit the Siberian spotted husky in the belly.

Everyone let out a shocked gasp. The spotted Siberian husky's eyes opened wide and blood came out from the corner of his mouth. His older brother, the other dog, fell to his knees in shock at what he did. He put his trembling hand on his brother's head. "M-Mateo?"

Star's ears were pinned down with sadness, shock and she was also even scared. But at last, she learns a new name from the spotted Siberian husky dog. His name is Mateo. Who is the other one?

Mateo tries to stay awake by keeping his eyes open. He looks tiredly into his brother's eyes and cries.

"H-Hold on. I'll take you to-" The dog got interrupted when he saw Mateo close his eyes. "H-Hey, open your eyes! Right now!" After seeing that he got no answer, he lifted his brother up.

Star opened her mouth to ask if they could help with anything, but Brutus is first. "S-Sir, please, let us help."

Star hoped that he would accept their help before it would be too late to save the spotted Siberian husky, but his brother thought completely differently about it instead of accepting help.

He laughed. "Did I ever say it was going to be quick and painless?" He looked toward the three of them, his eyes red as if a dangerous spiritual demon or devil were controlling him. "My bad! I will certainly have fun destroying you with a lot of pain involved!"
