Chapter 6: Born to Die

It's now Smackdown and sadly today I don't have any matches. The only thing I have today is microphone time.

I can hear my theme song playing overhead as I make my way out to the ring. I am currently dressed in a buttoned-down purple shirt; with black leather pants. Walking down I smile at some of the fans. When I finally reach the ring I hop right in.

"Good evening everyone, how are we feeling?" I question the crowd, "Today I have a few things I would like to say. This past Monday I had a match against Liv Morgan. I, obviously, won the match. But then out of jealousy and cowardice, I got hit from behind. Rhea Ripley took advantage of me being worn out, and for no reason she hit me. Seems like someone can't handle critique," I laugh off. I know the crowd loves Rhea, but I can tell that the crowd also is starting to love me too.

"I would like to send a message to Rhea," I turn and look directly at the camera, " Rhea, if you are watching or listening to this, I just want you to know that I am coming for you. I won't take a beating from someone who can't even get me at my prime time. When you take advantage of the weak and hurting, that's when I say enough. Rhea-"

As I was about the finish The Judgement Day's theme song comes on. I turn as I watch Rhea and her boys come out on the stage. While walking to the ring the boys are looking around, but Rhea's eyes are directly on me. They make their way down and hop into the ring. Someone comes over and hands Rhea a microphone and steps out.

The crowd is roaring with excitement at what may happen next.

Rhea goes to talk but stops, she puts the microphone down and starts to laugh in my face. What she's laughing at- I do not know.

Rhea finally puts the microphone back up to her face and starts to speak," Oh darling," she starts clicking her tongue," You have no idea what you are doing. Do you see me? I've been doing this thing for years. YEARS. You have nothing to me, so please do yourself a favor and walk out. Walk away and I'll make your life easier. Don't put your poor little self into this mess, your career is just starting. It would be a shame if I had to end it already," she fake pouts.

"You are the one who hit me in the ring without me knowing," I say teeth gritted.

"You ran your mouth, I had to put you in your place somehow. Also, let's not forget who eliminated me from Royal Rumble," she states with a scowl on her face.

"Couldn't have someone like you going to Wrestle Mania, could we?" she starts getting defensive, and her goons behind her start to get tense- like they are all ready to pounce on me at any second. I look behind her and see Dominik. The one I had a run-in with the other week. So much has changed since that day, I think I can see a glimmer of pride in his eyes. While I am staring into his eyes I get knocked back into reality.

Rhea shoves me a bit," Are you just going to stare at the boys all day? What's wrong with you, girl? You had so much to say earlier, do you not anymore?" She laughs. She thinks she's intimidating me when in reality I just got distracted for a second.

"Rhea, if you want to fight I will fight you. I am not scared of you or the lost puppies behind you. I can take you on any day, anytime, anywhere. So unless you are too much of a coward to fight me right here, right now, then let's get this on." Rhea stands for a second like she's thinking. Then she shoves me back and grabs my hair. Punching me repeatedly. I had no way of protecting myself so I just took it until I was laying on the ground.

As she was about to go for some kicks I heard another song come on overhead.

Rey Mysterio.

He was coming out here to help me. He was going to save me.

I looked up just in time to see Dominik flinch and step back a bit. The people in the ring separated like water and scattered out of the ring. Rhea left me on the ground in the ring. All of the Judgement Day was out of the ring by the time Rey made his way into the ring. I could hear him yelling at them to leave.

Getting back up I look at Rhea who is smiling at me evilly. I watch as she grabs the microphone and puts it to her mouth, "I'll see you later, kitten," and with that, she walks off.

Turning to Rey, he checks to see if I am hurt.

"Thank you, Rey. She took me by surprise or I would've had more of a chance."

"No problem kid. You got my back, I got yours," he says more as a question as he sticks his hand out for me to shake. Taking his hand and shaking it- proving that we are alliances now.

You mess with one, you mess with the other.

Walking backstage I head straight for the locker rooms. Not bothering to stop to sign posters, I am kind of traumatized from the last time.

I make my way into the locker room to change but I get stopped by someone first.

Rhea.

"Hey girl, good job out there. I am sorry if I actually hurt you I didn't mean to make you fall," Rhea laughs off.

"Nah, that was great out there! Everyone loved it! I love this storyline so much, it's going to be great," I answer with a huge smile on my face. I am too excited about this gimmick that I can't wait for the climax of the story. I wish it would all happen tomorrow- I am that excited.

"Very exciting. Just remember that whatever is said or done- it's all for show. None of it is actually real. We are all one big family back here, if you ever need anything girl, I am always here," Rhea pats me on the back and walks out. I am left there with an overwhelming amount of excitement.

My career is finally on the go.
