"All defences up now!" I shouted as I slipped into jet one. The engines roared to life as it lifted off from the sand and headed south. Quads with guns and rocket launchers jumped over sand dunes as they were shot off by the jet's guns. "Carter, that's an Ixtal, I'll attempt to send her into the sand." We had only woken just a few hours before to the alarms of a hostile incoming. Next thing we knew there were carriers dropping manned dune buggies into the sand dunes. We swiftly ran to the jets to launch. And now we're attempting to prevent the Spectrum from being taken. I swooped down low and sprayed a wall of poisonous gas. As soon as a dune buggy swept through the wall the heat from it ignited the gas and made a wall of fire that blocked anything from passing through. The dune buggies halted as they opened fire upon the jets. I had pitched up to an Ixtal which hovered gently. I whipped across the underside of the massive starship as I unleashed the toxic flammable gas. "Muhammed light her up." I radioed as Muhammed detached a missile as the solid rocket engine on it lit up. It propelled itself to the Ixtal as it passed into the wall of gas just under it. The missile striked the hull causing a breach. The gas blinded us in an explosion as sections of the Ixtal quite literally, were blown off. Flames erupted as it began losing altitude
"Carter, no need to make blinding explosions." Eliza radioed.
"Yeah, I was just about to latch onto that thing." Muhammed hushed.
"Oh well. It's one less thing to worry about." I responded. "AETHER Deploy AKD's." The multiple AKDs swooshed from the Spectrum as they sliced through the air. Blood spilled onto the sand giving patches of a dark red. I cut my engines as my gear came clinking out. The TFA-75's were designed for landing up to 4000 Feet per minute. AKA a fuckton. The jet slammed into the sand, well. Safely of course. As the jet halted as I immediately climbed out. I swung open the storage compartment taking out some of the gas bombs, a RPG and a few explosives. I pulled the pin on one of the gas bombs, throwing it far as the gas spread around. I threw another in the opposite direction. "Carter what the hell are you doing!" James shouted over the radio. James had to stay back on the Spectrum due to we having only four jets.
"James you buffoon he's preventing the Spectrum from being taken." Amelia said as she ignited the gas into a flaming explosion. The Bowsers were slowly backing off but it wasn't over, yet. A loud almost screeching noise was heard as the jet beside me burst into flames. It was like a condensed fireball had just hit it. And that's exactly what happened. I looked to the direction of the 'Sun' to see a shadow of some sort. It looked like a large plane sorta. It swooped in and grabbed me. It was a dragon. It was blue like Lake and it was about 3 times longer than me if I was laid down. A few feet tall whilst walking on its all fours. I tried hitting my hand into its little arm it would walk on. I turned my head to see Amelia and Muhammed chasing after. The dragon tucked its wings into surround me. I couldn't see anything besides the darkness I was in. I felt a large thump as it opened its wings. I was inside a gunship. "Shit." I whispered to myself under my breath. There were 4 Bowsers with guns trained on me.
"Hey woah no need to be violent." I said as I looked around
"Keep 'em hands down. I dont wanna shoot you." I mean hey. Pretty good english. Side note, that means they've been studying us. Pretty creepy. I turned to look at the dragon. Its characteristics was just exactly like Lake. Except Lake had a mark on his ear.
"Let me go or I swear to god your engines and hull wont see light for a billion years."
"Not gonna happen bud." They wore full body suit armour, almost like an EOD suit except not as bulky. The dragon's ears stood up behind me as it stared at the elevator door. Lake and this dragon. I'll call him pond. (See what I did there?) Was the same species. Condensed fire balls, exceptional stealth and speed. Blue hues of skin tone, can be loving or aggressive. Yep. A roar was heard outside, not of engines. No, this was a dragon. I recognized it, Lake. I pulled my gas bomb as I pulled the pin, throwing it. "Ey what the hell was that?" After the green gas started pouring out they knew exactly what it was. I heard the air sloshing around from the wings of Lake growing ever louder. I ran up to one of the Bowsers, reaching my hand over his neck, spinning him around and pulling the trigger as a red hot bullet flew into the gas. The gas ignited as I began falling from the disconnected floor from the gunship that was well, exploded. I dropped as I landed right on Lake. "Such a good boy" I scratched his neck as we whipped around. Pond had just dropped out from the burning gunship. "Get him," I commanded as he chased after. It turned into a massive plume of smoke as Ponds and Lakes fire balls smashed into each other. From anyone outside it was just illuminated shadows with every fireball sent. Pond started running, and we chased after. "C'mon." We flew right by his wing as I threw a grenade, going right into ponds mouth. "Go, go, go!" Lake dived as we tried to get away from the soon explosion. I turned my head to see Pond turning into a fireball. Lake pulled up as we were about to hit the sand. We zipped by the Spectrum going into the dune buggies inching closer. Lake flapped his wings aggressively as he unleashed a massive wall of fire that just kept on going. The dune buggies slipped in the sand as they slammed the brakes.
"Oh!" They started flipping through the flames piling up. Any that wasn't burnt by it turned around. Except Eliza didn't recognize me or Lake. She had swerved to chase us.
"Oh shit. We gotta go Lake." Lake groaned as he started swooshing his wings up and down as fast as he could. "Eliza, Eliza!"
"Carter, what do you need? I'm dealing with something."
"Exactly! That's me!" Lakes right wing was suddenly filled with bullet holes as he screeched in agony
"Oh..."
"Lake!" I clinged to the saddle as he began falling. He tried his best to stay airborne, but to no avail. The landing hook which was supposed to latch onto the Spectrums landing pads catched Lake and I. Lake long unconscious. Eliza set us down in the sand dune, landing beside us.
