"COME ON THIS WAY"
"ETHAN THERES A HORDE OF RUNNERS THAT WAY, GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW" richie calls out
the two brothers were surrounded by hordes of runners chasing after them, they were meant to quickly get back to the watchtower but then the storm had came and alerted all of the runners to them.
"Richie look! there's a building over there, we have to make a run for it"
"Okay you go first and i'll cover you, then once you're in you better cover my ass" richie says
"Okay go!"
Ethan sprints to the building shooting at the runners chasing him whilst richie covers him from behind, once he's in richie makes a run for it as ethan covers him back.
The runners clash against the glass just as the two brothers had pushed a table and some more stuff against the door.
"That door isnt gonna hold, come on let's go" the two run away whilst they still can and move into a different room.
Once they get in a woman runs in from the other side of the building.
"WOAH" the two draw their guns just as a precaution.
"Woah relax!"
Ethan walks up to her and holds up a hand "Hey we're cool! are you okay?"
The girl couldn't seem to take her eyes off of richie though.
"i'm ethan, and that's richie" he says pointing at him
"What's your name?"
Before she could respond the sound of glass shattering could he heard in the distance.
"No time, richie we gotta get outta here they're everywhere"
"God damn it ethan where would we go!"
"My friends! my- my friends and i are staying in a mansion not too far from here" she says
"Alright then, let's not wait around"
"Come on let's go"
The three then run out of the building and over to where there horses are and climb on the horses speeding away.
"Which way?!" Richie yells over the heavy sound of rain and snow falling
"That way!"

After arriving at the mansion the three are let through the gates by some of the girl's friends, the two brothers turn around when her friends start throwing molotovs through the gates to get them away.
"Come on let's get you two inside"
"Thanks for the save, whats ya'lls names?" ethan says, richie just trails behind quietly as ethan talks to them, ethan always was the social one of the two.
a guy with dark hair, a cap and a hoodie walks through "hey i'm jordan"
"You guys live here?" Ethan asks
"Just passin' through, you two live nearby?"
"We do, a few hours down the hill, ya'll should come back with us, restock before you head out"
a blonde girl pipes up and reaches out to shake his hand "appreciate it, i'm laura by the way"
"Names ethan, that there's my brother"
He says pointing at richie
"Richie"
The group then goes silent and they all look wary of him.
"Ya'll look like you've heard of us or something"
