When Shoto was much calmer he looked at Katsuki setting his hot chocolate down. Even though Shoto was trying to be serious katsuki kept smirking to himself at the mess he had made shoto. "I want you to know that I never meant to hurt you." "Hurt me? What do you mean?" "I was afraid you would hate me and you were the one person I didn't want to hate me" he whispered. Katsuki's brows furrowed "Shoto...what's going on?""I lied to you." He looked away ashamed. "I said I didn't remember where I recognized that man but I did remember I was just afraid. He was the grandfather of my dad's business partner. He..is pretty much my great uncle." He hid into himself. Katsuki glared at him "So your family killed my family?" Shoto slowly nodded as he began to feel nauseas. "I trusted you!" He shouted. Shoto flinched as he stood. His legs were wobbly but he managed to stand his ground "W-what?" "You lied to me!" He screamed. Shoto covered his head like he was about to be struck. Katsuki lowered his posture, he couldn't entirely blame shoto. Shoto probably didn't know who he couldn't or could trust. "But I get it" he sighed.
Shoto looked at him too afraid to speak. Katsuki rubbed his neck "I can't imagine what pressure you have on you right now. It wasn't like you personally killed my family. I will give you a chance this time, don't lie to me again." Shoto nodded "I won't." Katsuki ruffled his hair before looking outside "Hurry home before your dad finds out, put on makeup and stay safe alright. Swing by as soon as you can ok? I'll try to dig around and find what family is left" Shoto nodded before racing to get out the door "Haha! Don't forget about me I'll be back tomorrow I promise!"
Shoto ran as fast as he could. He once again lost track of time. When he arrived Enji was more than angry. Fuck. Weeks rolled into another month. Katsuki was worried sick about Shoto but he knew he was ok. Just grounded. Fuyumi brought a letter to katsuki to let him know shoto was ok. During the time of being locked in the house Shoto did his best to gather information. Enji never leave the house which made it quite difficult. It was now December, snow covered the ground. By now Shoto wondered if Katsuki remembered him.
Fuyumi came into Shoto's room with a small package "Sho" she whispered. Shoto looked at her "Yes?" Fuyumi smiled "Uhm- you got a letter" she spoke excitedly. Shoto quickly grabbed it and began reading it.
'Hey icyhot,
I got your letter and I'm trying to leave time before you receive this so your sister doesn't get hurt. I miss you. Didn't think I would but it's been quiet around here. Your sister is nice, and I'm grateful you are ok. I got information from my family but it's not great. All I gained was the title was missing. Without the house title we have nothing to go off. All pictures, articles, evidence has been lost over time except the stolen title. The moment you're free come find me ok? I love you'Shoto looked at fuyumi "he loves me.." he smiled. "Eeeek! Yay!" Fuyumi bounced around. Shoto thought about that letter all day. There was something he had to do. Shoto waited until he knew everyone was asleep before sneaking into the office. He had his suspicions for awhile but he hoped he was wrong. If Enji was best friends with the butler's son then logically they would have to know something. Right? Shoto could only think of one place it was hidden. My dad's office.
He snuck towards Enji's wing trying to be as careful as possible. When he got to the door he was relieved it was unlocked but anxious at the loud creak it made from old medal. The office was basically empty yet Enji spent most of his time in there? Odd. He began peaking around. Every noise made him flinch. He tapped around trying to find anything hollow or off. He checked inside every book, every corner, every cranny. To his dismay he found nothing. He almost gave up searching until he glanced at his father's stopwatch resting on the desk. It was broken but always on Enji. Enji refused to let anyone look at it or touch it.
Shoto carefully crept over and took it. As he opened the clasp he realized there was something folded on the inside. Could it be the title? He didn't want to get his hopes up. But before he could look he heard someone stir. His heart pounded. He looked around before laying his eyes on "D-dad" Enji glared down at him "What have I said about touching my stuff, and what have I said about entering my wing!" He growled. Shoto looked at the stopwatch before looking at Enji "You knew didn't you?" "Knew what?" "That this house belonged to the Bakugou's!" He growled.
Enji looked down "I knew if you got attached you'd meddle. You have no business in this boy" "You...did know!" He took a step back. With every step back Enji took a step forward. "Give it back" Enji snarled. "No!" Shoto shouted. "Why are you keeping stolen papers?! Wait...you said to us that we were moving to a 17 million dollar investment. You! You weren't talking about the house you were talking about what's under the house! It's why you were helping so many people in town pay off their mortgage with the todoroki bank so you could sucker them into selling!" Shoto shouted. "I see you're smarter than you let on." He smirked "but you are missing one key factor" "W-what?" "The title means nothing if all the Bakugou's aren't dead!" He reached to grab shoto but missed
Shoto raced out the window trudging as fast as he could through the snow. It was slippery and cold but he didn't mind all he cared about was getting to katsuki. He had to tell him, he had to warn him. He held the stopwatch close to his chest as he ran.
I'm coming my love
