6 months before, Katsuki was heading to town to get supplies. He had no idea what was to come, or what was ahead. When he drove into town everyone waved hello per usual. It seemed like a regular day what could possibly happen?
Suddenly, the town bustled with excitement and gossip. "Did you hear someone bought the manor!?"a kid yelled as he ran to his father. Katsuki's brow raised, no one had lived in the manor for the last 100 years. With everyone's attention drawn in a large limo drove through town making more heads turn. Shoto hated the attention but Enji bathed in it.
Katsuki rolled his eyes, great stuck up rich fucks. His eyes flashed towards a male looking out the window. He could see a vague image of him looking back before he growled and went into the store. Who the hell was that?!
Shoto Todoroki saw a blonde standing beside a hardware store. Something was intruiging but he paid no mind. "This is a fresh start Shoto, you excited?"Fuyumi smiled. "I guess, but I don't know it seems so empty."He sighed. Enji looked at Shoto "Don't be so ungrateful. You will be returning to private school at the start of winter, until then you will stay in the manor studying." Of course he'd be stuck studying over the summer. It's always had been like that but he hoped it would be different.
Katsuki quickly purchased what he needed and went back to his cabin. The male in the limo haunted him. He figured he was spoiled and never worked a day in his life. With a huff and a grunt he trudged to his truck and drove back to his cabin.
The limo pulled up in front of the manor. It looked beautiful but worn and antique. As shoto walked inside a dusty smell settled. He coughed and brushed away the air before Enji's voice boomed. "THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO CLEAN THIS PLACE!"He yelled. Shoto flinched and covered his ears as he continued yelling. He ended up just slipping out the back door to explore the land and be away from his father.
Holy fuck he could still hear him from outside. He walked past the porch towards the large yard. There was unkept trees and a wild lawn. He loved it. He walked towards an old swing listening to the wind blow through the big willow. It was as if he was inside his favorite story book 'A weeping willow'.
He smiled taking a deep breath of fresh air. Perhaps it would be different, maybe even good. He sat on the swing and looked up at the sun glowing through the leaves. Yeah, he could feel it would be better.
The following week seemed to just drag along for Shoto. Between his studies and cleaning the manor he never had time to explore which angered him. When they first arrived Enji made it very clear they were not allowed in his study. He was curious but he didn't dare disobey his father. When he had the opportunity he slipped out the back door running towards the woods.
Enji had marked where they were allowed to go but shoto figured he could explore further. He liked adventure and excitement despite his anxiety. He had a paralyzing fear but he still wanted to go out and see every inch of the world.
The sunlight felt warm against his cold pale skin. He looked up at the glow piercing through the leaves and squinted. He walked into nature almost disappearing like a ghost. His fingers trailed the edges of the bark. He now saw why the town was called evergreen. It was beautiful.
Katsuki was nearby gathering wood and hunting. He was always preparing for winter so he didn't have to go into town when the snow hit. That was the worst time to go to town. He trudged through the bush setting traps for deer and other animals he could use to survive the harsh weather.
He hummed softly attracting a certain dual haired male his way. Shoto's ears were enchanted by the way his calming voice sounded. When the blonde came into view he blushed a little but he didn't know why. He hid behind a tree watching the blonde hum and set traps. He seemed built for his age- wait- he wasn't eyeing him. He turned away accidentally stepping on a twig. Shit--
Katsuki's red eyes darted up toward the tree Shoto was hiding behind. They narrowed as he quietly crept toward him. Shoto felt like his heart was going to explode he couldn't breathe. He darted away in panic running as fast as he could carry himself. "Oi come back you peeping bitch!" Katsuki yelled as he ran after him. He knew the woods since he lived there his whole life. He turned towards another direction and cut shoto off in a clearing. Their eyes locked as they both stood there frozen. Katsuki eyed the male in front of him realizing he was the boy from the limo. He could see the fear in his eyes and it made him internally smirk.
They stared at eachother for a good minute as they caught their breath. He went to say something when 'Shotoooo!' echoed from the distance. He looked at Katsuki almost with a cry of help as he ran away. This time Katsuki didn't go after him he didn't see a point. He couldn't seem to get the male off his mind now.
The male with the dual colored eyes.
