After completing his fifth task – still six more to go – 8-Bit decided that it would be harmless to open the files he had saved.

So he did, in the reactor when no one was looking. Honestly, they did look really suspicious.

But when he tried to open the file from the ship's archives, all it said was <ACCESS DENIED>

Like fifty times.

Security sure was strict.

Just as he walked out to complete more tasks, he felt someone following him.

He gripped his gun.

When 8-Bit turned around and saw Nita and her bear chasing him, he ran.

At least as far as those tiny legs could get him.

Before Nita's bear could grab his metal back, his super charged VERY NICELY TIMED and he did the only thing he could do as survival instinct.

8-Bit tossed his super as far as he could, using Cheat Cartridge to teleport to the holographic-displaying bot.

He stood still for a moment to let his overheating systems cool down.

Then he heard Nita's scream.

He only saw a shadow dart out of sight before he was left with what seemed to be Nita's dead, burnt body, bleeding itself dry.

And Lou, standing unscathed behind her.
