Hyerin began looking through the book silently. What she had read completely changed how she viewed everything about herself & her mother' family...

Hye-Su POV
This is a story. Not for the weak hearted. It is for the strong only. Am I proud of what I had done ? Yes. Do I regret hurting them ? No. You see, Vampires exist. Not all members of a family would be vampires, but it is a high chance the gene would be active at a young age. They've always existed. Vampires just keep themselves hidden in deep darkness. What of me & my family ? We are vampires...
I made seven wonderful friends one summer night. The seven of them were the sweetest guys I have ever met. Were, the most important word. For they aren't humans anymore. I turned them. I know what you who has found this book is wondering, "Did you ever care ? Why turn them ?"
Haha, it is simply in my nature. Vampires drink blood. Some more than others... I simply was far too hungry that summer night. I attacked anything in sight... Eventually the seven were reborn as vampires. They hated me for what I had done to them...
Rumors began to spread. The seven in question were called devils & my family were ridiculed for basically associating with them. So I did what I needed to in order to ensure my family survived at all costs.
I sealed them in coffins that only would open with the blood of a direct descendant. Once I had them sealed my family sold the land we'd lived on for many years, moving away. Away from judgement. Away from scandal. To survive...
Never. Open. The. Coffins.
NEVER.
For I am scared of what their return would mean for the world as we know it...

Hyerin couldn't believe what she had just read. Her ancestor basically killed those in these coffins. Vampires locked away from everything they once knew with their trust completely broken. She was the descendant to a vampire who surprisingly looked like her ?
She felt guilty. Even though none of what she was was her fault at all. No matter how curious Hyerin was, she needed to leave. She quickly closed the book & locked everything before sneaking back into her dorm room. Yun-Hee & Taeyeon greeted her as they seemed super excited for the day ahead.
"혜린아, 괜찮아? 당신은 지금 정말 창백해요." (Are you ok, Hyerin ? You are really pale right now.) Yun-Hee asked concerned as she shared some food with her. Taeyeon looking just as concerned. Hyerin smiled as best she could as she ate some food. "Why are you both so excited ? It is still early..." Hyerin was glad they hadn't questioned her about where she had been.
Taeyeon clapped her hands together excitedly, "It is the weekend. We always go into town & have some fun. Today we're visiting the cafe." Hyerin was a bit confused. Why would a cafe bring such excitement ? "Why ? What is so special about this cafe ?" Yun-Hee smiled as she could tell that Hyerin was a bit hesitant about the cafe. "It has been here for years. The cafe feels just as old as it is, but young as well. The perfect place to relax on weekends like these..."
Hyerin didn't need anymore convincing. They were going to the cafe.
