A Month Passes...

It was now or never. Hyerin snuck her way back into the room & wasted no time. She needed to open those coffins. She glanced at the prophecy one more time as she picked up the knife. She took a deep breathe when she got a call from her father.

"혜린아, 괜찮아요? 평소보다 더 고립되어 있다고 들었습니다. 무슨 일이 있었습니까?" (Hyerin ah, are you okay ? I have been told you've been isolating yourself more than usual. Did something happen ?) Hyerin sighed. For she knew her father was just worried. She always felt like an outsider & rarely made the effort to make friends. However, there was no time to soothe her father' concerns.

"Did you know, Dad ? Did you know mom had a relative that I looks exactly like me ? Did mom ever tell you anything about her family ?" Her father thought for a few minutes before answering her, "I knew your mother had a relative you share a likeness with, Hyerin ah. We were married... What else am I supposed to know ? Why do you sound like you are angry about something ?"

Hyerin ran a hand through her hair, putting her phone on speaker as she sat the phone next to her. "아빠, 저는 지금 뭔가를 하고 있어요. 내 인생을 영원히 바꿀 수 있는 무언가... 내가 무슨 일을 하든 후회하지 않을 거라고 말할 때 당신이 나를 믿어주면 됩니다." (I am about to do something, Dad. Something that could change my life forever... I just need you to trust me when I say that I will not regret whatever I do.) Her father now was exceptionally worried. He got in his car, "What are you talking about, Hyerin ah ? I am on my way now..."

She wasted no more time. She hung up & picked up the knife. She needed to do this. To make up for what her maternal ancestor had done. Hyerin winced as she cut the palm of her hand with the knife. It was now or never.  Slowly she approached the coffins.

All seven coffins having a similar placement for a hand. Specifically a descendant' hand to unlock them with blood... Hyerin put her bloodied palm to the slots where her hand should be placed on the coffins. Searing pain ached up her arm as the seal seemed to take blood from her, not just unlock the coffins.

Disgruntled & uncomfortable hisses filled the silent room as seven pairs of eyes now stared at her angrily. "혜수? 남혜수?" (Hye-Su ? Nam Hye-Su ?), Heeseung questioned looking at the seemingly human girl in front of him. Was his eyes playing a horrible trick on him after all these years ? Jay spoke up next with a much darker tone, "A human...Color me a bit disappointed."

Hyerin remained quiet as she physically felt like she couldn't move or speak. What was this ? What power did they hold over her ? "It is rather odd. She seems to be innocent... Is it not Hye-Su ?" Sunghoon questioned the others. Spurring doubt. Jake scoffed as he circled Hyerin like she was simply his next meal (which wasn't totally wrong given how they all were starving), "그녀는 혜수와 꼭 닮았습니다. 그들이 얼마나 닮았는지는 거의 불안합니다..." (She looks exactly like Hye-Su. It is almost unsettling how alike they are...)

Sunoo spoke next as he seemed to be the calmest of the seven. "She freed us though, hyungs. Shouldn't we give her a chance to explain ? This can't be Hye-Su." Jungwon scoffed as he pointed at Hyerin in absolute horror, "Even if she isn't Hye-Su... Her ancestor took everything from us !"

Lastly Ni-Ki spoke. This time actually addressing Hyerin. "What is your name, child ?"There was no denying they looked to be around her age, but Hyerin knew better now. These seven boys had to be at least a few hundred years older than they looked. "음, 안녕하세요? 저는 남혜린입니다... 나의 조상 혜수가 당신에게 한 일에 대해 깊이 사과드립니다..." (Um, hello ? I am Nam Hyerin... I am deeply sorry for what my ancestor Hye-Su has done to you...)

Silence overcame the room when someone entered to supposed locked room with complete ease...
