"I cannot believe you've never heard of Mötley Crüe before!" Dean said to the boy across from him. Castiel was so musically uninspired that it made Dean want to scream.

"What part of 'super strict preacher father' don't you understand?" Castiel replied with a laugh. The boy grew up with gospel music and a church choir every Sunday, so hearing "Louder Than Hell" blare through Dean's speakers frightened Castiel a little bit.

Dean sighed as he got off of the bed and flipped over the record that was playing. As "Home Sweet Home" started playing, Dean leaned back against the wall behind him and melted into the music with his eyes closed. After the chorus ended, Dean opened his eyes and noticed Castiel staring at him. "Sorry, I get really into the music. This is one of my favorite songs."

"I've noticed," Castiel said, smiling softly at Dean before getting up to flip through his collection. "This is an... interesting cover," He laughed, holding up Warrant's "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich" album.

"Warrant is amazing! I think you'd really like their song 'Heaven'," Dean said as he jumped up and took the album from Castiel. He immediately put the record on the turntable and placed the needle on the ridge that would play the song.

"I don't know, Dean. This cover art is a little weird."

After sitting back down on the bed, Dean glanced at Castiel who had a nervous look on his face. "Just listen."

Toward the second verse, Dean closed his eyes again as the lyrics washed over him. Dean couldn't help but think of Castiel when this song played. He was snapped back to reality as Castiel started to speak. "Wow, this song is beautiful."

"This is one of their best songs, in my opinion. It's just so passionate. Not all of their songs are like this, but rock ballads are beautiful, Just wait until you hear "Every Rose Has Its Thorns" by Poison," Dean said as he looked over at Castiel.

"Why are these bands' names so strange, I don't understand. Anyways, you're cute when you talk about music. It seems very important to you," Castiel said before Dean could turn away from him. The pair stared at each other in silence for a few minutes before Dean pulled away, having realized what was happening.

"I'm so sorry..." Castiel whispered as he stood up and grabbed his jacket. "I shouldn't have, I'll just go." Castiel started for the door before Dean grabbed his arm, stopping the boy from leaving.

"No, Cas, it's fine. I don't mind. Honestly, I want you to stay. I'd like to get to know you better," Dean said with a reassuring smile.

"Really? What are you getting at, Winchester?" Castiel said with a smile.

"I'd like to take you on a date, Novak."

"You did WHAT?" Jo was shocked when Dean told her about how he asked Castiel out on a date.

"You were right, Jo. Girls have no appeal to me, but Cas? He just affects me in a way that no one else has before. And this is after just one day! Can you imagine a week from now? Or even a month?" Dean was so giddy about going to dinner with Castiel that he was practically bouncing from wall to wall.

"I'm glad that you realized what we all did months ago," Jo joked. "I'm very proud of you, Dean. I know it must have been hard to come to terms with this."

Dean took in what his best friend had said. It honestly wasn't difficult to come to terms with his feelings toward the blue-eyed boy. Although he was scared of what the future might hold, Dean couldn't shake the feeling of overwhelming happiness coursing through his veins as he thought about Castiel.
