Ashley's POV.
I crept silently in through the back entrance of my house, not wanting to be seen by neighbours. I'd just been out hunting, and was covered head to toe in blood.
I'd also just had a run in with the police who had found me and had immediately started to chase me. I had escaped, but barely and the cops were probably still looking. At least I could be thankful that they hadn't seen my face, and I wasn't dumb enough to leave behind any evidence leading to me.
I ran my hand through my blood mattered hair, pushing it from my eyes, messily. I tiredly stumbled upstairs and into my bathroom to take a well needed shower.
Once I had scrubbed my entire body freed of blood, I put fresh clothes on and walked downstairs. I was suprised when I saw that the TV was on and was on the news channel. I was about to turn it off again when something from it caught my attention.
"Ten people have been reported dead in the last week all with the same cause of death: blood loss. Victims have all been reported to have had deep wounds on their throat. The police are suspecting a wild animal and are trying their best to hunt the beast down. The police have issued a warning to stay inside theirs homes after 8pm."
The TV turned itself off and I jumped when I heard a male voice near me.
"You've been extremely careless, Ashley." I jumped and turned around, ready to attack.
As soon as I saw the man the urge to attack disappeared and I felt fear rush through me. He was leaned against a wall with the TV remote in his hand, a deadly look in his eyes and a powerful aura surrounding him. His hair was midnight black and looked messy, but in an oddly attractive way. His eyes looked unnaturally blue and glowed menacingly. I felt small tremors run down my spine when I caught eye contact with him. His skin was extremely pale and looked flawless, without a single blemish in sight. The man was dressed in all black.
"What are you doing in my house, Si-" I cut myself off. Was I seriously just about to call this guy Sir? What the fuck?
He stopped leaning against the wall and threw the remote he held onto the dark red leather sofa that was in front of the TV.
"I'm here to tie up a loose end." He took a slow step towards me.
What did he mean by 'Here to tie up a loose end?' I gulped harshly, my throat suddenly like sandpaper. I didn't want to even consider what he meant by his words.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, preparing to flee. There was no way I could beat this guy in a fight.
"You're causing big problems for me and others like me. I take it as my job to stop idiots like you from fucking up a system that has been going for thousands of years." He snapped getting progressively louder as he carried on.
I opened my mouth to defend myself, but was stopped when I felt a hand grip my throat, sharp nails digging into my sensitive skin. His nostrils flared in anger and he flung me back, sending me flying into the wall.
I groaned and looked up when I heard footsteps approaching. I looked up at him. I knew I couldn't win a fight against him and there was no way on god's earth that I'd beg for my life. I closed my eyes and excepted the cold embrace of dead. I couldn't help but be somewhat glad deep down. I didn't want to kill anymore.
He pulled me up by my shirt collar and I screamed out in agony as fire spread throughout my chest and Couldnt breath. Shakily looked down only to see blood everywhere. My eyes started rolling into the back of my chest and I realised that his hand must have been literally in my chest.
"Last words?" He asked calmly, as if he'd done this a million times.
I looked from my chest to his face. I thought for about five seconds before I said the first thing that came to my mind.
I opened my mouth and weekly muttered "Thank you" before everything went black.
