Amelie Swan leaned against her bedroom door frame, taking in the bare room, containing only a bed and a few photos on the wall. Its yellow wall paper was peeling in the left corner closest to the window, and the curtains where fraying at the bottoms. She was going to miss this place, even if it wasn't in the best condition.

She grabbed a box that was sitting at her feet. As she picked it up a photo of her, and two other children, fell out. The photo was of her sister and her childhood bestfriend with their arms around her shoulders, their 10 year old faces smiling up at the camera, made Amelie smile down at it. She hoped with all of her heart that she would be able to make something of herself at Forks.

"You ready?" Bella asked as she walked past her, stopping to stare at the photo Amelie held and smiling when she saw it.

"Ready as I'll ever be." She whispers. Tucking their photo into her pants pocket, they walked down the stairs together, taking one last look at everything before walking outside to meet their mum and stepdad, who were waiting at the car for them.

"You okay girls?" Your mum asks as she takes the box from you.

"Yeah, it's been years since I've seen dad, I guess I'm just a little nervous," Amelie say, "and sad about leaving you." She added. Her mum looked at her sadly before engulfing her daughter in a big hug, pulling Bella in too as she tried to side step away from her family, not liking the affection her mother was giving her.

Awkward as always, Bella just stood their, her arms pinned to the side, not hugging them back.

"What are you going to do when you have to talk to people Bella?" Their mum says laughing before they all got into the car, the girls in the back, Phil driving and Renee in the passengers seat.

"Ready for a road trip?" Renee asked.

"It's only to the airport Mum." Laughed Bella and Amelie joined in.

The car ride was silent even though everyone had been so excited at the start. Amelie put her headphones in and leaned her head against the car window. She gave one last look at her childhood home before Phil pulled the car out of the driveway and turned the corner.

The plane ride was the same. Bella said nothing as she stared out the window, neither of them said anything to one another, both lost in their own thoughts. Amelie expected it though, Bella wasn't one to start a conversation. Apparently she had inherited that from their father. Amelie had always been the odd one out of the family, she didn't know what it was but she was never really like anyone of her relatives. She always tried to spend her time out of the house or she shut herself in her room and sketched or painted things.

"Where is he?" Bella asked, trying to see over the many  heads that were walking around the airport gate.

Amelie stood on her toes, being to tallest of the two even though she was two years younger, trying to see her dad.

"Over there!" She told Bella with as smile, leaving her behind as she started pushing through the mass of people to get to the girls dad who was standing with his hand in the air waving. His chief police uniform standing out against the maze of blacks, greys and whites.

"Whoa, you've grown a lot Amelie!" Charlie said as she hugged him around the torso.

"Hey Dad, I've missed you." Amelie told him.

"Hey Bells," he said, "your hair's longer now." He told her, trying to made conversation.

"I cut it since the last time we saw you, Charlie." She spoke.

Amelie swung around in her dads arms, refusing to call their dad 'dad', was new information. Leave it to Bella to make things more awkward than they had to be.
