A few days after the incident Bella and Amelie sat down at their little lunch table that was bubbling with excitement.

"Hey, La Push, babes, you in?" Eric asked them.

Amelie and Bella looked at each other confused for a second.

"Wait what?" Amelie said.

"La Push beach down on the Quileute rez, we're all going tomorrow." He explained.

"Yeah, there's a big swell coming in." Jessica added excitedly.

"And I don't just surf the internet." Eric said suddenly standing up.

"Eric, you stood up once, and it was a foam board." Jessica shot him down.

Amelie laughed at them.

"There's whale watching too. Come with us." Angela begged.

Amelie put her tray of food down on the table, sat down and began to eat. "Sorry guys, I've already got plans. But maybe I'll see you there."

"What plans?" Bella asked.

"I called Jacob, he said that he would teach me how to work on cars. Plus, Billy's been wanting to talk to me and I'd said I'd go."

"Oh," Bella pouted.

"Baby Swan's out, Bella what about you? La Push baby, it's La Push....." He cooed.

Bella chuckled, "Okay, I'll go if you stop saying it like that."

The next day Charlie and Amelie got up extra early in the morning so that they could go down to the reservation before Charlie had to go to work. They sat in silence as they drove but neither of them were uncomfortable with it. Amelie watched as the trees blurred past. As they entered the Quileute territory, old memories came flooding back. She smiled to herself when she remembered the times that she would splash through the mud by Billys house or sit and make mud pies with Jacob.

When they pulled up to the old, red house, Amelie felt comforted with the fact that it hadn't changed after all these years. She got out of the cruiser and took a deep breath of the pine filled air.

Charlie smiled over at her, "Miss it, huh?"

Amelie nodded, "Yeah, a lot."

"Ready to go inside?"

Amelie nodded and the two of them walked to the door and knocked. Billy opened it with a wide grin.

"Charlie, Amelie. It's so good to see you, come in." He moved to the side so that they could enter.

"Can't today Billy, just here to drop Amelie off." Charlie grumbled.

With a quick wave, he walked back to his cruiser and drove off. Amelie and Billy watched him leave and once he was gone they stood there simply. Billy broke the silence first.

"How are you feeling Amelie?"

Amelie shrugged, "Fine."

Billy looked at her sternly.

"Okay not fine, not fine at all."

"That's okay, we'll help you."

"Who's 'we'?" Amelie asked.

"You'll see, just be back inside by four. Jacobs out the back by the way." And he gave her a smile that held many secrets.

She stayed at the doorway while Billy simply turned around in his wheelchair and moved farther inside his house. Amelie gave Billy one final glance before shrugging and leaving to walk around the back of the house. When she rounded the corner and heard the sound of metal chinking, she smirked. Jacob was leaning over the side of the car, which was in terrible condition. He didn't see her enter since he was so focused on the job at hand. She watched as he rubbed his long hair away from his face and scowled angrily in frustration at whatever he was working on. She gave him a small smile before approaching him.
