A/N: Bonus chapter because the last one was really short, Have a great day!

-Han

Amelie was vaguely aware that she was laying down. She was so tired. Her whole body and head hurt. Her head was pounding and she didn't dare open her eyes so she lay there in pain. She could hear voices and that caused her to fight whatever it was that was trying to drag her back into sleep.

"We were the reason for this."

"We didn't know."

"That doesn't change anything."

"It will be okay. When she wakes up we'll tell her."

"What?!"

"She'll think she's all alone."

"She's dangerous."

"Only if she can't control herself."

"She's fifteen, no teenager can control themselves."

Amelie heard a long sigh. "We have to help her."

"Do you know what she could do to us?" Someone hissed.

"Yes, of course I know! Do you want her to be our enemy? That's why we have to help her."

She heard thumping footsteps and a door slamming before she was taken over by darkness.

The next time she woke up she lay there like before, with her eyes closed, listening for any sign of voices. There were none. She took a chance at opening her eyes but closed them immediately after. As soon as she did she heard clattering and things clashing together.

"Easy there, your body has been through a lot these past days." said a calm voice.

She slowly opened her eyes again and blinked a few times to adjust to the light of the room. It took a few second but soon her eyes were fully open. She stared at the ceiling for a few seconds before she turned her head to the side and saw a beautiful blonde man.

"Hello, my name is Dr. Cullen." He introduced himself, "I oversaw your care while you were unconscious." She realized that he owned one of the voices that she had heard arguing outside the last time she had woken up.

"What happened?" She asked him hoarsely.

"Well, there isn't any easy way to say this." He said, "Did your father ever read you stories about monsters and princesses?" He asked her.

Amelie was very confused. She had woken up and was being asked about her bedtime stories instead of being given an explanation on why she had collapsed. "Uh, he would tell me about the Quileute legends." She told him slowly.

"Which ones?"

"Dr. Cullen please. I just want to know-"

"Amelie this is important. Which ones?"

"Legends about magic."

"And you believe them?"

"No, there just stories."

"Stories come from truth Amelie. That is how they get remembered."

"So your saying magic is real? And that I was attached by it?"

He chuckled, "In a way yes. Your falling ill was your body reacting to magic."

Amelie was even more confused, the doctor had said it so seriously that she was beginning to worry that he was a complete psycho.

"Amelie, to help you understand your story, you must first listen to mine."

Amelie nodded, but she sat up and pushed herself as far away from him as she could while still being on the bed.
