Three Days Later

"Kyraaaaa!" Leah's hand hit her sister's apartment door over and over. "I know yo ass is here, open the damn door!"

Inside Kyler sunk down more into her couch. She wanted to be left alone and it seemed like no one was getting that memo. Every few seconds her phone was ringing or someone was at her door.

Leah wasn't aware of what was going on but when Kyra went ghost, she knew something was up. After the loss of their mother, they grew really close. They shared tons of similarities, sometimes it was creepy. Kyra loved having someone older to go to for advice. Leah was a very successful Real Estate agent, just like her adoptive parents. She helped Kyra find her apartment in Miami. She's currently dating a Falcons player after dumping Davinchi's no good ass. Kyra finally told her the truth about how they met.

"I don't think Auntie Leah is leaving." Kyler said while looking up at her mom.

"I don't either. Ugh!" Getting up from her spot, she forced herself to the front of her apartment and opened the door. "I'm shocked none of these white people have called the cops on you."

"They know better. Girl why the hell are all these flowers and boxes out here?" Leah asked while stepping inside.

"Don't know, don't care. You can have them if you want."

"What's going on with you Kyra? We were supposed to meet up two days ago and you just ghosted my ass. I cancelled a date for you."

"My bad, life just been a little crazy that's all."

"I can tell, why are you and my niece sitting her looking homeless?"

"Because we're heartbroken." Kyler answered making Leah laugh.

"What is she talking about?"

"I need to stop talking on the phone around her. Kyler go in your room and play for a second while I talk to your aunt." Kyra said.

"Okay mommy." Kyler got up and went to the back.

"That little girl makes my ovaries jump, ugh. But anyway, what's going on?"

"So you know Eric and I had our little situation going on. When I got here we finally had the talk about all of the things that happened in the past. I was excited because having my family is all I wanted. Three days ago, I found out that he's still dating this girl that has disrespected our child and the bitch is claiming that she's pregnant by his ass."

"And you're upset because it's her?"

"Yes! He's basically saying fuck Kyler too. After us almost losing her to mom, you'd think he'd protect our baby with his life but when it comes to a bitch that's fucking him, he loses all common sense."

Exhaling Leah leaned back against the couch. "He is wrong for that."

"Very wrong."

"But I know that's what has you pissed off. Kyler said that you were heartbroken. Is it because someone else is having his baby?"

Kyler stared at her sister for a while before slowly nodding. The corners of her eyes began to burn. The very last thing that she wanted to do was cry over this madness. "I love him so much and the fact the universe seems to put every block in front of us. I'm going to have to face the truth about our fait eventually. It just hurts."
