Hunter/Golden Guard x Male Reader

Welcoming Vixen

I walked through the door holding an injured Vixen in my hands. I surveyed the room and then realized that Camila was at work. She is the only one in the house that could help Vixen.

At this point I had utterly no clue what to do. I decided to just get a place ready for Vixen to rest. I started to run through the house to get the the basement where Hunter and Gus were staying.

As I walked down there Hunter started talking to me. " Hey Y/N how was the Zoo". It took me a couple minutes to respond because I was frantically looking for some sort of animal bed for Vixen to sleep on.

" We didn't end up even getting there because we encountered this" I say showing off Vixen. At this point I had already gotten a pillow and a blanket on the ground for Vixen to rest on.

Hunter was sitting on the couch so I decided to sit next to him. " What do you want to do?" Hunter asks with a puzzled look on his face. " If I'm being completely honest I don't know, I'm probably gonna stay down here for awhile and make sure Vixens ok" I say whilst keeping a close eye on Vixen.

" Well I guess I'll stay down here too, so you don't have to be alone" Hunter says looking at me. " Thanks Hunter" I say whilst still looking at him. It began to get quite awkward.

" Well, how did you think of the name Vixen?" Hunter says whilst beginning to look at Vixen. " I kinda of just knew, almost like Vixen was telling me that's what her name is" Now Hunter was looking at me with a bewildered expression.

" That almost sounds like a palismen" He says. " How can we really tell if she is a palismen" I ask being completely puzzled. " We could try and see if she turns into a staff" Hunter suggests. " We should probably wait till she's rested up" I tell him.

We spent hours talking about random human stuff and Hunter told me about some demon realm things.

Then me and Hunter both look and see Vixen get up. " I have a plan, You need to pick Vixen up" Hunter says informing me. With no hesitation I swiftly pick Vixen up. She was startled at first but she was quickly calmed down by me petting her behind the ears a few times.

Then Hunter walks over with Flapjack but in staff form. I assume Vixen was startled because she turned into a staff. I was truly stunned by this because I assumed that Vixen was a normal fox not a palismen.
