Chapter 1

"Since Medusa was the only one of the three Gorgons who was mortal, Perseus was able to slay her while looking at the reflection from the mirrored shield he received from Athena. During that time, Medusa was pregnant by Poseidon.." I heard the whole class gasped. Except for me. I'm not even surprised that these people didn't know this.

So I just sighed and continued spinning the pen on my fingers. "So the baby died? After Perseus beheaded her Ma'am?" I heard one of my classmates ask.

Stupid. I whispered in my mind. "No." The professor said with a smile on her face. I heard the murmurs and laughter of my classmates. Which made me roll my eyes. Seriously? They're laughing at their stupidity?

My professor was bombarded by questions. "What?." "So does that mean that her baby is alive?. I'm sure it's a baby snake."

Instead of answering those questions she was just smiling like an idiot standing in front of us.

I let out a soft sigh. I'm alreadt getting impatient when I decided to raise my hand to speak. The murmuring slowly subsided before I caught our professor's attention.

"Yes Miss..." I slowly stood up from my seat. Evryone fell silent and I can feel all the stares at me causing me to laughed in my mind. Of course, I always got the attention of many. No one can resist this beauty.

"When Perseus cut off Medusa's head, her two children sprang out of her severed neck. Pegasus and Chrysaor. Pegasus took the form of a winged horse, while Chrysaor had the form of a golden giant" I said then sat again. I crossed my legs and leaned my back on the chair. Then I heard their murmurs again.

Wow she's really smart..
So full of herself..
Why is she so perfect?...
I wish I was beautiful and smart too..

Beauty and brain is still useless if you're weak my dear. I whispered in my mind.

"She's a monster how come she gave birth to a beautiful pegasus?" My seatmate asked. The room was filled with laughter again. I laughed softly and slowly turned to face her.

"I thought you were that smart. You didn't know that Poseidon is also associated with horses?..." I calmly said though I want to throw a punch on her face. I can destroy her right now but its not yet the right time.

Not yet.

"Oh sorry. I forgot that she was being punished because of her affair with Poseidon. She deserves it anyway.. She's a disgusting slut." She said with a smirked on her face while shrugging her shoulders. The whole class went silent because of the tension building between the two of us.

I laughed softly. "Athena turned her into a monster for her own pride. She was jealous of Medusa's beauty and lustrous hair. Whose more disgusting? You decide." I smilingly said to her then I saw how she clenched her jaw because of her anger.

She's trying her best to hide it but I can clearly see it. Her eyes were easy to read. "N-No, she's not. Medusa is a whore. She seduced Poseidon." She defensively said but sounded unsure.

Of course, you will defend her.

"Oh really? They never had an affair. Poseidon raped her. That Goddess was so obsessed to Medusa." I said piercing my gaze to her. The whole class gasped. I saw how embarrassed she was. Yeah. Thats right. Shut your fucking mouth.

I smiled sweetly at her when she glared back at me. "What?! Poseidon raped Medusa? Ma'am you didnt tell us that part." One of my stupid classmate complained.

"That's because-----" before our professor was able to finish her talk I cut her off.  "That's why you guys had to read other books, and do some research. Never rely on our professors. Whatever they teach us, it was all from their point of view. There's always two sides in every story." I said without taking my eyes off of this woman.

I heard our professor cleared her throat. "That's enough.." I winked at this woman before I averted my gaze from her.

That woman, She's Cassandra Aria Vuego. She had no idea that she's Athena's daughter, the Goddess of wisdom. The one who punished my mother. No, she cursed my mother. She was so jealous that ev'ryone who visits her temple was only to see Medussa's beauty, not for her. She was scared that people wont pray for her anymore.

She used the situation where Poseidon raped her to put a curse on her. Telling ev'ryone that she seduced him and unmercifully destroyed her. And that poor Medussa. The snake head woman.

She's my mother.

After Perseus killed her, he flew away using the winged shoes of Hermes. He didn't realized that I also sprang out. But they forgot one thing, Medussa was still a mortal before she was being cursed and when Poseidon impregranated her.

And I'm one of Medussa's offspring.
I am Revy Amara Marin. And the only thing that I want is revenge.
