It is natural for our minds to try and protect us from pain, but following the death of her parents all Angelina could feel was numb.
Acceptance is said to be the last of the five stages after loss, something that Angelina was still trying to do. Accept. The newly turned twenty-one year old spent endless nights with tears falling from her eyes as she lay in bed at night. Slowly suffering silently until she eventually fell to sleep.
After her parents passed, Lina made the tough decision of dropping out of college. She knew she'd be better off spending time with her siblings, Elena and Jeremy. Angelina took on the role of being their legal guardian, however when her two siblings when back to school their Aunt Jenna moved in to give them a helping hand.
As summer ended, Angelina was finally starting to adjust to her new reality, especially with her new job at the Mystic Grill.
But then things in Mystic falls started to go wrong. At first, Angelina was happy to see her sister (or should she say cousin) Elena get back out into the world and meet a charming new boyfriend named Stefan Salvatore.
But then Elena told her something hard to swallow. Stefan and his brother, Damon, we're vampires? And apparently Bonnie was a witch too.
Difficult to believe, right?
After that Mystic Falls really went down hill, a tomb full of vampires, Elena was actually her cousin, who has doppelgänger called Katherine—should we continue?
One things for sure, Angelina would do everything she could to protect her siblings.
