Party favors

Btw this part happens like a day after the last one, I just didn't want any confusion as the beginnings are similar.

Willow~

The party is today and I couldn't be more excited. Months of planning have gone into making this party perfect for Hunter. I wanted to show him how much we all care for him, in hopes of persuading him to stay on the boiling isles with me-us, I meant us. Luz, Gus and I are going to set up the house while Amity distracts Hunter. I'm in the kitchen making waffles for breakfast when Hunter fumbled down the stairs groggily. "good morning cariño" He says, "what does that mean?" I ask. His face instantly turns a bright shade of red, "Uh, nothing." I smile at his response, knowing it definitely meant something. I figured I could just ask Luz later. Suddenly there's a knock at the door. "I'll get it" he says quickly, avoiding any more awkward conversation. " LUZ IS IN THE HIS-HOUSE" I hear Luz yell from the entryway.  "Oh hi guys," I say to the rest of the group as they walk in. "You're here early! Anyone up for waffles?" "OOH ME!" Hunter and Luz say in unison as they run towards the waffle tray. "Me too!" Gus says, "Me three!" Amity says following her goofball girlfriend into the kitchen.  I laugh at the way Luz eats her waffle like a wild animal, then turn to Amity, whispering " you all set up?" "yup" "good". Amity walks back over to the rest of the group, asking if anyone wanted to go on a walk with her to the library. Hunter obviously said yes and everyone else, just as intended, said no. I hug Hunter on his way out and thank Amity again. "Now the party preparations may commence".

Hunter~

I find it odd that Amity would want to go on a walk alone with me, like she didn't even back down after Luz said she didn't want to go. We walk in silence for a while before Amity breaks the awkwardness. "Hey Hunter," "yeah" I say looking up at her. " I need to ask you something about Luz" she says timidly. "sure, what's up?" I say. "well, I was wondering if I had your permission to ask Luz to marry me." At that my jaw instantly drops to the floor. "I was hoping I could do it tonight at the party, but since I know it's for you I just wanted to make sure it was ok." My surprised look was soon replaced by a wide smile. "Amity, oh my Titan of course you have my permission. I really haven't seen my sister happier than when she is with you." I hold my arms out and she hugs me, "thanks Hunter, I'm sure it'll mean a lot to Luz that you said yes." she says grinning from ear to ear. The rest of the walk was pretty silent but in a comfortable way. I got my favorite book 'A history of wild magic ad it's greats' checked out and began reading. By the time Amity had called me to head back I was halfway through the book. We began to walk back to Willow's house, excitement bubbling over me.

Willow~

We started to set up for the party. Putting chips in bowls, decorations up, and setting up a playlist. As I was de-tangling a string of lights Luz walked into the room, I took this as an opportunity to ask Luz what cariño meant. She sat on the couch and whipped her phone out, I sat beside her. "hey Luz," she looks up at me "oh, hey. what's up Willow?" "what does cariño mean?" is say nonchalantly. her face forms a quick smile, "why?" "oh, Hunter said it this morning and I just wanted to know what it meant." I say, "Oh my dearest Willow, it means darling." My face instantly turns red with realization. she just laughs. "you guys are so cute, why did you even break up?" the red on my face disappears and turns into a melancholy expression. " I don't know, I guess it just wasn't working, he lived in the human realm and across the country from the portal. It just felt difficult and forced. So, we broke it off" she smiles at me sweetly. "you haven't gotten over him, have you?" she says quietly. I shake my head, looking at my feet. I then feel Luz's arms wrap around me in a hug. I start sobbing, which is honestly kind of dumb. My dads always told me not to cry over a boy, but here I am balling my eyes out in Luz's arms. "y'know, I have never seen you cry after the break up. Willow have you kept this in?" I nod hugging her tighter. "I wanted to be strong, plus crying over a boy is stupid!" I say scolding myself. "sure it's stupid, but it's necessary. You loved him with your whole heart, it's not fair to you to keep all of those emotions pent up Willow." I smile at her, "yeah...". Then I hear his voice, "Hey, We're back!" 

Hunter~

I'm first walking into Willow's house. the evening sun is shining beautifully through her stained glass windows. it all seems so  peaceful, then I hear the sound of quiet sniffling and my 'Big brother instincts'-as Luz calls them- kick in. I run towards the noise, ready to comfort whoever is crying. I stop in my tracks once I realize it's Willow. It feels like my heart had snapped in two. "W-Willow?"  her eyes shoot up in my direction, noticing the tears forming in my eyes. "Oh, hey hunter..." she says with a soft smile. "why were you crying? titan, was it something I did?" I tend to blame myself for things, and the entire time I've known her she's hated it. She has told me multiple times to stop but it doesn't fix what I've done. I always blame myself when she cries, I blame myself because I wasn't there. "no Hunter, it wasn't something you did. I was just feeling a little sad, that's all." she says with a smile, it's clear she lied but I don't push the subject any further. Luz breaks the silence, "Hey blondie, you should change after all the party's in 30 minutes!" I remember the party and Amity's plans for tonight.  "Oh yeah! you all should also go home and change." I say winking at Amity, she gives me a quick excited motion and they all leave to get ready for the party.

WOO! 1078 words! (not counting both Author's notes) I did It! I'm so excited for the next part because we will be getting some more Huntlow, Lumity and Gustholomule!
