"(Y/n)! Overthere!"
The girl turned her head, mounted on her broom as she tried to find the golden snitch.
Though Cedric Diggory was Team Captain, he chose (Y/n) as the team's seeker, and she has been for as long as she could remember, leaving Cedric in charge of Beater.
The girl fixed her gaze on the tiny golden ball, which was flying at 100 MPH.
"Thanks!" She yelled, following the snitch.
"Come back here, you!"
The snitch flew around the girl, circling her as she spun around in circles.
"Oi! Think you're funny, do you?" She growled as the snitch finally came to a stop, as if watching her steady herself.
The snitch stayed for a while, and (Y/n) stared it down, preparing to attack.
She leaped forward, the snitch flying away as she once again lost sight of it.
"Darn it!"
She gazed around, watching her other teammates trying their hardest and all playing their role.
Her eyes met Cedric's. He looked up at the girl floating slightly higher in the air.
Just then, the snitch flew in between the two of them as her eyes focused on it once more.
"Found ya." She gave a smirk as she flew away and followed the snitch.
Cedric watched his best friend follow the snitch as she flew away.
The boy smiled lightly, eyes still fixed on her.
"Captain!" His teammates beckoned for him once more as he finally came to his senses. "Stop dreaming, would you!"
"Right! Sorry, guys!" He apologized, flying back to help his team, glancing one final time at (Y/n).
"Gotcha!" (Y/n) snickered, finally grabbing the tiny golden ball in her palm.
"(Y/n)! Watch out!"
"Huh?" The girl turned her head to see a bludger flying towards her at lightning speed.
"Oh f-" Before she could dodge, she felt a sharp pain spread across her body as she fell unconscious.
-----
When she awoke, (Y/n) found herself in the Hospital Wing with a fractured right arm.
Fred and George Weasley were there to give her gifts and try cheer her up, but nothing seemed to work.
Cedric arrived shortly after, apologizing over and over for doing a bad job as Beater, and (Y/n) forgave him.
However, she was still sad. Very sad.
"How am I supposed to do spells anymore.." She sighed.
"Well dear, if you rest like I tell you to, you'll be fine in a week." Madam Pomfrey replied.
"A week?! The game is this Friday!"
"Well, I'm sorry dear, but you have to heal."
"Damn it." She muttered.
-----
Unexpectedly, the other day, as she was reading in the hospital bed, there was a tall black figure walking towards her.
"Professor." She greeted.
"(L/n). Your work you missed out on today." He muttered as he put down a worksheet beside you.
"Thank you, Professor Snape."
"You're welcome."
The girl looked him in his onyx eyes as he stared back with an uncomfortable look.
"What. (L/n)." He uttered.
"Nothing. I'm trying to look past you."
"Excuse me?"
"No, really. Why would you come give me my notes? I'm sure you could've asked Ced." She said, squinting her eyes at him.
"Stop it. You're getting me uncomfortable."
"Oh, I know!" She gasped. "You've come here to see how badly my arm is fractured because you know I'm the best player in Hufflepuff, and you're making sure I can't participate in the upcoming Friday Quidditchgame between Hufflepuff and Slytherin!"
Snape stared at her in shock, flinching his eye.
"Case closed."
She stared him down as Snape blinked cluelessly a few times, still trying to find a reaction to give.
"Pft!" She suddenly snorted. "You should see the look on your face right now, Professor!"
"Haha. Very funny, (L/n)."
"Sorry, sorry!" She laughed.
"I'm done with this." He hissed, turning away to leave the girl laughing hysterically on her bed.
"See you, Professor! Good luck on the game!"
