"We have to go, we bought tickets. Come on!" I cried, disappointedly.

"We had a look inside, it looks fucking scary!" Nina said.

"That's the whole point. It's a horror escape room." I argued, rolling my eyes.

"Yeah, I don't think I can do it." She said.

"Pete, what about you?" I asked, turning to him.

"I'm with Nina. I don't think I can do it." He said.

"Jake, please say you'll come with me?" I begged.

"Uhm...." He started to say.

"Am I really going in alone?" I asked.

Someone screamed loudly and I watched Jake confirm his decision as the colour drained from his face.

"I think that's a yes." I said, with a sigh.

Eddie's POV

"Come on guys, it'll be fun." I urged, as my friend hovered by the entrance, unsure.

"I don't know man. Someone screamed real loud then." Jeff said.

"It's a horror escape room. It's not real." I said.

"I don't think I can." Gareth said, with a gulp.

"Me neither." Grant said.

"Are you kidding me?" I asked, sighing with frustration.

"Nah man, I can't." Jeff said.

"You're all seriously pussying out on me?" I asked.

"Yeah." Jeff said, as they all backed away from the door.

"Am I really going in alone?" I asked.

There was another loud scream and they fell over themselves to move away from the entrance.

"I think that's a yes." I said, with a sigh.

Deciding to fly solo, I walked through the entrance door, as a girl roughly my age wandered on through, alone like me, with the same look of disappointment on her face.

"You get ditched too?" I asked her.

She seemed surprised that I'd spoken, and recovered quickly to answer me

She seemed surprised that I'd spoken, and recovered quickly to answer me.

"Yeah, by every single one of my friends." She said, rolling her eyes.

"I did too. They didn't even make it past the entrance." I said.

"No, my friends didn't either." She said.

"Are you going in?" I asked her.

"I'd like to, seeing as I paid for a ticket. But also because I've just given them some serious shit for bailing and if I don't go in, I'll never live it down." She said, bouncing on her heels slightly as she psyched herself up.
