Me and Monica hooked arms and skipped down to the park, meeting Dillion at one of the picnic tables that was sitting under a big tree, which was providing shade. I bent over and picked up a dandelion that was next to the table and closed my eyes, making a wish, and then blew on the dandelion.

"Don't you think you're a little too old for that?" Dillion questioned, reaching over the table and placing his hand over Monica's.

I stuck my tongue out at him. "You're never to old to pick flowers and make wishes," I said, dropping the stem of the dandelion on the ground and taking a seat next to Monica, picking two more dandelions. "Here, you two make a wish."

"I'm not going to make a wish. I already have everything I want," Dillion said, wrapping his arm around Monica, who closed her eyes and blew on the dandelion, throwing the stem on the ground. "So how was the concert?"

"It was amazing! Me and Zoe got to go backstage and meet the boys but Zoe already knew them all and is kind of dating one. So not fair."

I laughed. "Wait, you're dating one of those boys?" Dillion asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yeah, kind of, why? Are you going to tell me that you're going to hurt him if he does anything to hurt me?" I asked, raising my eyebrows back at him.

"Um, yeah. You're one of my best friends! I'm not going to let some famous boy bander hurt you just so he can get satisfaction out of it!"

"Well you can save it because Zac basically said the same thing. I love you guys and all but I'll be okay. I'm a big girl and I can take care of myself." He put his hands up as if he was surrendering and I smiled at him, getting up and heading over to the swing set. I sat down on the swing next to the big tree where me, Dillion, and Monica carved our names a couple years ago.

"Do you think that's going to be there in like ten years?" Monica asked.

I shrugged. "I don't see why not. Unless some other jerks come and scratch it out or cut it down." I pushed my feet into the ground and got myself swinging, rocking my body back and forth so I could get higher. I closed my eyes and let the wind blow through my hair, forgetting about everything as I swung.

"You guys want to go for a ride?" Dillion asked, jumping out of his swing and landing in the grass in front of him. Me and Monica jumped off, too, and followed him to his car.

I quietly walked into the house, locking the door behind me, and headed to the kitchen. It was twelve thirty. I grabbed one of my strawberry Fantas out of the fridge and headed to my room, hoping I wasn't going to wake anybody up.

Setting my drink on my bedside table, I shut my door behind me and turned my TV on. I changed it to Disney and watched the throwback shows until I fell asleep. The TV was still on when I woke up and the smell of coffee lingered in the air as I walked to the kitchen, making my nose turn up.

"Morning. Have a fun night last night?" Zac asked, putting the coffee pot back. I opened the pantry and pulled out two chocolate granola bars, tossing them on the island and sitting in one of the stools. Zac leaned on the opposite side of the island, watching me as he took a sip from from his coffee cup.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, opening one of my granola bars. A yawn escaped my mouth and I stretched with it, throwing my hands behind me, almost hitting Tasha. "Sorry," I said, taking a bite of my granola bar.

Zac set his coffee cup down on the island, continuing to look at me. "You know what I'm talking about. You didn't come home until past midnight last night. Where the hell were you?" he asked, throwing his arms up in the air.
