Clink. Clink. Clink. I tossed and turned for a couple minutes, some noise from outside disturbing my sleep. Clink. Clink. Tossing my blanket off my body, I got up, letting my eyes focus in the darkness before heading to my window. I looked out and saw a figure standing in my yard, causing my blood to run cold. This was it. I was going to be murdered.

I slowly opened the window and stuck my head out. "Zoe!" he whispered. "It's Louis!" he said, dropping the rest of the rocks and cupping his hands around his mouth so he could be a little louder.

"Louis?! What the heck are you doing here? You scared the living crap out of me!" I quietly exclaimed, the tension within my body disappearing after finding out who was outside my window.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go hang out." I looked over at the alarm clock on my bedside table. It read two thirty-two. I was going to punch this boy so hard in the face.

"At two freaking thirty in the morning?!"

"I'm sorry. It's just that the boys are asleep, it's nice and quiet outside, and it's beautiful! It would be even more beautiful if you agreed to join me." I turned to my desk, grabbing a pencil, and tossed it out the window, hitting Louis in the chest. "What was that for?"

"For being a cheesy idiot! I'll be down there in a minute." I closed the window and quietly made my way around the room, changing out of my pajamas and putting on some shoes. I tip-toed out of my room and carefully made my way through the house, leaving through the back door since it was way quieter than the front door.

I walked to the front of the house and saw Louis staring at the ground, kicking at the ground with his back to me. I quietly made my way to him and jumped on his back, startling him and causing us to fall to the semi-dewy ground. "Well hello there," he said, flipping over and giving me a quick kiss.

"Hello. Now what are we going to go do at two thirty in the morning? Rob a bank? Break into people's houses?" I asked, pushing myself up off the ground.

"You may be into that kind of stuff but I certainly am not. I was thinking we could just go for a nice walk. Maybe talk and get to know each other. I mean, we've only known each other for a few days and we are already this," he said, pointing down to our intertwined hands.

"What even is this?" I asked, stopping as we reached the street. "Can you tell me? Because I can't."

"Honestly, I don't know either. I'd like to think we are more than friends but we were barely even friends to begin with."

"I'd like to think we are more, too but look at you," I said, letting go of his hand. "You are part of the biggest boy band in the world right now and you are going to be leaving Florida soon. When you leave, where does that leave us?"

"Look," he said, caressing my face with both hands. "We can make it work. We can do long distance and I will definitely be back here, trust me."

"It's only been a few days. How can I trust you?" I asked, dropping my face from his hands and looking down at the ground.

"Because why would you have a reason not to?" I shrugged and looked back up at him, the streetlight above us making his eyes shine. His hands found my face once again and he bent his head down, his lips meeting mine. Electricity wormed it's way through my body, through my veins, and made me suddenly realize that I could trust Louis. He was right. He hadn't given me a reason not to.

"I trust you," I said when we pulled apart, my eyes closed while my forehead rest against his. He pulled away and kissed my forehead, intertwining our hands again.

"Good. Now let's get back to the walk," he said, leading me across the street and and out of the neighborhood. Louis swung our arms back and forth and kept giving me random kisses. "What do you want to do?" he asked.
