Steve opened his eyes then closed them again quickly. The sun streaming in through the window was more than he could stand. God, how much did I drink, he thought to himself, trying hard to remember the party he'd thrown the night before. But he was having no luck with that. He turned his head away from the window and tried again to open his eyes. He was not surprised to see a girl next to him, sleeping peacefully, with a smile on her face. But he was surprised to see that it was Samantha Stone. She was cute and all, but absolutely not Steve's type. He preferred a more classic girl, not the black lipstick, heavy eyeliner Siouxsie and The Banshees goth girl like Samantha. Though he liked Siouxsie and The Banshees but would never actually admit it.
Steve knew he'd had a lot to drink last night. And the weed had been plentiful and strong. He partook of everything he could get his hands on. Why? Because Nancy had shown up with none other than Jonathan Byers. That fucking hurt, like someone stabbing him in the chest. How dare she! They'd only broken up three weeks ago. And now she was at his party, the party he threw to hopefully make himself forget about her, with Jonathan fucking Byers? He remembered seeking out anything and everything he could find to try and block that fucking image out of his head.
There was movement behind him on the bed and he froze. He reached back over his shoulder and felt around. His fingers touched hair, long and soft, splayed out on the pillow behind him and he smiled. Way to fucking go, Harrington, he thought. He'd always wanted to do two girls at once. Only problem was, he didn't fucking remember it.
He rolled over towards the mystery girl, a self-satisfied smirk playing at the corners of his mouth as he pushed her long, wavy hair back off her face. Steve's smirk disappeared and his breath caught in his throat. It wasn't a girl. It was Eddie Munson. What the fuck was going on? He really didn't remember Eddie being around last night. Though he supposed he shouldn't be surprised. Eddie was at pretty much every party, because someone always wanted weed and that was what Eddie did. He sold weed. But why was he in Steve's bed?
Samantha Stone and Eddie Munson. Word around school was that the two of them hooked up on occasion. So, maybe they'd both had her last night. Again, she wasn't Steve's type, but he also wouldn't kick her out of bed. Apparently, since he'd just woken up next to her. Maybe he'd walked in on something and decided to join. That wasn't such a bad scenario. But, shouldn't she be between Steve and Eddie? Steve shook his head, not sure of anything at the moment.
Eddie stirred and before Steve could turn away and pretend to be asleep so he wouldn't have to face Eddie, Eddie opened his eyes. He looked up at Steve and a slow, sleepy smile spread across his face. Eddie stretched, his naked body gliding against Steve's under the blankets. Steve tried to pretend that the feel of Eddie's naked body against his didn't send an electric thrill straight to his dick. Eddie smiled up at him, then tilted his head and covered Steve's mouth with his own, kissing him softly, barely letting his tongue slide across Steve's lips. Without thinking, and purely against his own better judgement, Steve parted his lips and Eddie slid his tongue into his mouth. The kiss lingered, slow and affectionate. Eddie ended the kiss with a playful nip at Steve's bottom lip.
"Morning," he said quietly. "Sorry. I didn't mean to sleep through the night. I have somewhere I need to be. You mind if I use your shower before I go?" Steve shook his head. "Thanks." He kissed him again, quicker this time, then slid out of bed.
He watched Eddie, butt naked, as he gathered his clothes from the floor, then he padded quietly to the bathroom with a quick look back over his shoulder at Samantha. He noticed Steve watching him and winked before closing the bathroom door behind him.
Steve sat up in bed and held his head in his hands, trying to remember the night before, but he kept drawing a blank. He remembered Nancy and Jonathan, he remembered drinking, smoking, talking to a lot of people. He remembered Jason Carver and Chrissy Cunningham. He talked to Jason about basketball since Steve had played with the Hawkins Tigers, which was something Jason was currently doing. And he remembered the way Chrissy looked at Jason, something akin to blind devotion in her eyes and behind that pretty smile. He remembered wishing he had a girl who looked at him that way.
