Barcode
Admittingly, working alongside Jeff was incredible. No matter how badly Barcode struggled to maintain his composure on set, P'Jeff was always the first one to his rescue. Even when his first scenes acting as Porchay featured his brother, Porsche, Jeff continued to watch vigilantly from the sidelines to ensure everything proceeded smoothly.
Why was he always so patient with Barcode? The shock on his face, when he discovered Barcode would play the role of Porchay, had been evident. Surely he had to be upset with the way things had turned out. Instead of working alongside his previous partner, Gameplay, Jeff was now stuck babysitting a high school student. After all...why would any experienced actor actually want to get paired with an inexperienced seventeen-year-old boy as a romantic duo?
The thought of burdening Jeff put a dark pit in Barcode's stomach. While Jeff's cool nature had originally intimidated Barcode, the experienced actor had been nothing but kind to him after their first encounter. Despite his intense gaze and stoic appearance, Jeff also smiled and laughed more beautifully than anyone Barcode had ever known. He remembered their first meal together alongside the other cast members fondly. He had been so nervous and yet shortly after the meal commenced he found himself smiling like a fool. He hadn't expected to laugh so much around a man so much older than himself and yet the two of them got along better than he had ever imagined. Jeff made sure to include him in group conversations and successfully eased his anxiety.
Jeff also loved music, if not more so, than Barcode. Talking about their mutual passion for the guitar and piano had taken up a large portion of their first conversations alone. It certainly didn't hurt that they enjoyed playing some of the same video games.
But was he actually just an inconvenience to P'Jeff? What if he only slowed him down on set? Today would be their first time acting on screen together. What if he forgot his lines?
Barcode stared down into his water bottle, absorbed in his own worries.
"Code?" Jeff's velvety voice called out, breaking him from his concentration.
"Phi?" Barcode's eyes lifted to the sound of his voice. Jeff was dressed in his attire to play the role of Kim. With a dark brown leather jacket, he looked as handsome as ever. At times, it was almost distracting how beautiful Jeff was.
"What's wrong?" Jeff pushed gently, placing his hand on Barcode's shoulder. "Are you nervous about today?"
Could he really read him so easily? The realization made the younger boy's cheeks burn.
"Yes," Barcode admitted honestly. He just couldn't hold his tongue around Jeff.
"I'm nervous I'm going to mess up." He continues, peering his large dark eyes at Jeff with a pleading look. "What if I make you mess up too?"
