Jeff

"Just a few more steps, Code," Jeff whispers coaxingly, allowing the younger man to fully lean into his side for support.

"Mmm..." Barcode releases a groggy hum, tilting his nose to press further into the side of Jeff's neck.

After his climax in the shower, Barcode was utterly exhausted. Even as Jeff carefully dried his hair and dressed him in his pajamas the boy could scarcely keep his eyes open.

While part of Jeff wanted to speak to Barcode further he knew the young man's exhaustion played in his favor. With Barcode already half asleep he wouldn't be faced with any further questions...at least for now, that is.

If Barcode's persistence continued it was only a matter of time before Jeff cracked beneath the pressure...but what good would come from telling the boy about his departure in advance? Beyond directly going against his director's orders, the news held the potential to negatively impact Barcode's performance for the rest of the KinnPorsche tour.

I can't let that happen. Jeff thought to himself decisively.

As the older man halts by Barcode's bed the boy digs his fingers deeper into the soft fabric of his t-shirt.

"I don't want to go to my bed, Phi." The young man complains with a quiet huff.

"Barcode," Jeff sighs, stroking the young man's back coaxingly. "You need to get some sleep."

"Please, Phi." Barcode attempts again, pressing his lips further into the man's neck. "I don't want you to leave me."

Jeff flinches at the boy's sudden proclamation, sinking his teeth deep into his lower lip. Even now, the words burned like acid against his skin. If he felt this much pain now...what hellfire should he expect to feel in the future?

"Phi?" Barcode coos questioningly, coiling his arms tighter around the man's slender waist. Each word evoked from the boy's lips tickled his neck.

"You win, Code," Jeff whispers quietly.

You always win.

In reality, the most crucial boundary between them had already been crossed long ago. But falling in love with Barcode was something Jeff could never reverse. Even now his heart fluttered at the memory of their first night together. Despite the tears that streamed from the boy's pretty eyes he confessed his love to Jeff in a way no other had done before.

In that moment the young man unknowingly dipped his hands into the musician's chest and stole his heart for good.

"You win," Jeff echoes inaudibly, guiding the boy over to his own bed.

Barcode couldn't see Jeff's pained smile in the darkness...Nor could he see the silent tears that glossed over the man's dark eyes. But despite his lack of vision, he could feel Jeff give the softest tremor as he spoke.

"Down we go," Jeff sighs, shifting the young man in his arms before gently laying him down beneath the warmth of the duvet.

After Barcode has situated himself Jeff crawls beneath the blanket to lie by his side.

"Comfy?" Jeff questions.

"Almost," The boy mutters.

"Almost?"  The man arches an eyebrow.

"There's only one thing that would make this better," Barcode whispers back with a grin.

Before Jeff can respond the young man coils his arms around his lithe frame once again, ensnaring the man into a tight embrace.
