I can't just post a chapter like that and not follow it up with a comforting, yet still emotional, chapter immediately afterwards. <3

I mean I could, but I just don't want to.

Butch POV:

Butters is pacing back and fourth in the living room. She looks as if she's going to shoot someone with her laser eyes. She kept glaring daggers at Brick, so I assumed he'd be her first choice for a target. She was originally sitting down in the seat beside me, but the second Mojo walked in she sprung to her feet and hadn't of sat down since.

Brick and Boomer are seated on the couch cattycorner to the one I'm on. Brick's got his knee bouncing up and down. Boomers sitting with his head in his hands.

Something happened while Brick and Blossom were talking. That's all I know. That's all Brick knows too it sounds like. Something about how she passed out, eyes glowing crazy, floating off the ground, then collapsing as if life was sucked outta her.

Bubbles and Boomer were here before Butters and I. They'd been in town all day, ditching school. Little lucky bastards. Anyways, apparently Bubbles was down in the lab at Blossom's side. Mojo was called in by the Professor or something. I really don't know.

I just know it looked bad, Butters is freaking out, Brick's a nervous wreck, Boomers anxious, and I don't know anything on how to help any of them.

"Hey, Butters," I reach out and grab her hand. "Sit down."

"Sit down?" She stopped walking. Her angry glare diverting from Brick to me. "You don't get to tell me what to do. I am a grown-ass woman. I will sit down when I want to sit down." Even if she wasn't yelling or shouting, her tone was still angry. But it was shaky. Reminded me of when she came home pissed after her family dinner.

She's scared.

"I know, love. But you're not going to solve anything by pacing back and fourth, you're gonna ware yourself out. Might as well sit down." I let go and leaned back in my seat.

Her nostrils flared and her cheeks puffed out. "Fine. I'll sit down. But I'm only sitting because I want to. Not because you told me to do it, ya hear?" I merely nodded as she sat down beside me. Closer than I would of expected her to. Her legs were right next to mine. "Jesus, this is ridiculous." Aaaaaaannnndddd she was back up on her feet. "PROFESSOR! MOJO! WHAT THE FUCK IS TAKING Y'ALL SO LONG?!" She shouted in the direction of the stairs leading to the basement/lab.

"Guys what if she's not okay?" Boomer's question brought out the silence of the room once more. "I mean, come on. This is obviously what Him was talking about. Right, Brick?"

Buttercup scowled. Her glare turning on Brick once more. "Yeah!" She gave a half-hearted laugh. "Right, Brick?" Her tone was mocking. "What exactly did Him tell you? Who was going to be eaten alive first, huh? Who's gonna be next, Brick? Is it gonna be me? Is it gonna be Bubbles?" Each word she spoke she sounded angrier, mockier, meaner... even more scared. I doubt the other two picked up on the last one. But I sure as hell did.

"Butters, come on. The Professor'll be up in a minute with good news. Or he'll send Bubbles." I try to get her to sit down but I'm completely ignored.

"If you're so worried, then why aren't you down there with her?" Brick seethed. Jesus, was he trying to make her mad? THAT'S MY JOB!

"Excuse me?" Her eyes flashed with something then. I couldn't quite read what it was.

"You're so busy getting mad at me for something completely out of my control. How come you aren't down stairs with your sister? How come you're pacing back and fourth up here, huh?"
