Color: Before meeting your soulmate the only color you can see is the color of their eyes (If their eyes are heterochromatic then you're lucky you see both). The first time your eyes meet, the world becomes colorful.

The Butterfly Effect: The user has a retractable pair of stunning, delicate butterfly wings that can break from the human touch. When the wings are fully extended the user can fly. A single flap of their wings can create gusts of wind strong enough to cause a tornado up to 10 kilometers away.

Taking a moment to feel the temperature, I sit on the back porch looking out into the surrounding forest, enjoying the warmth. My naturally cold body temperature absorbs the sun's warmth. Sighing softly, I stand up and walk back into my heated cabin. Spreading my wings, I flutter them, smiling when it lifts my feet barely off the floor. My wings have a shimmering nature to them, almost as if radiating my F/C.

Closing the door behind me, I walk further into the empty house. A ringing tells me someone's calling the landline, and I quickly make my way to the kitchen counter to answer it. "Hello?" I ask, checking the temperature on the thermostat.

"Are you busy?" I chuckle softly.

"You know I never am."

"Can you come into the office today?"

"As in right now?"

"Yes."

I sigh, stretching my shoulders back, "I'll be there in an hour."

"I know you can make it under 30 minutes." I frown, thinking about how I haven't eaten breakfast yet. Still, 30 is a lot of time.

"I'll be there in 5." She hums in approval before hanging up the phone. I grab my avian goggles, scarf, phone, wallet, and key, leaving through the front door. Locking up, I put on the scarf and goggles before quickly taking off into the sky. I silently curse at my lack of a jacket, thankful that I'm at least wearing a sweater. It's a short flight at close to max speed after all.

My wings instantly retracting to avoid damage before my feet come in contact with the cement, my feather falling providing a smooth landing. Pulling the goggles down and tucking them into my scarf, I inwardly cringe as I step into the air conditioned building. Not bothering to stop to talk to anyone, I rush to the elevator. Stepping into the empty contraption, I press the floor I need to get to, stepping away from the buttons when someone else walks in.

Keeping my head down I don't bother making eye contact as the doors close, trapping me in an awkward social situation with whoever had to walk in. I pull at my scarf, tucking my chin into it to conserve heat. "It's pretty cold here, you should bring a jacket next time."

"I was in a bit of a rush." Looking up I'm greeted by a bright smile paired with wild blonde hair and beautiful vermillion wings.

"Running late?" He makes a show to tap an imaginary watch. I shrug my shoulders, looking away to see the floor we're currently on.

"You could say something like that." He hums softly, and I look back at him.

"Don't think I've seen you around." He cocks an eyebrow and tilts his head, a hint of suspicion subtly laced in his voice.

"I don't think I've seen you around either." Scrunching my nose, I feel frozen in my spot. His eyes continue boring holes into me as I sigh, "I come and go." He tilts his head, moving closer to me, amber eyes examining me, "can I help you?" I ask, tucking my chin further into my scarf.

He cracks an excited smile, "you really don't recognize me!"

"I'm sorry, have we met before? I'm pretty bad with faces." I blush lightly, avoiding his stare. He chuckles jubilantly, stepping away.
