"My Lady..."

Anna's voice calling for me was sad, as if she understood me. But it was inevitable. Reinhart's love wasn't for me from the start.

I already knew this would happen. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't even receive it.

Reinhart still loves her.

As I turned my head toward them, Trisha's eyes and mine accidentally met. She stared at me with a dignified glance as if saying this were her place and not me.

"Yes... I think this is the time for me to let go."

This end is so heartbreaking. With a heavy heart, I leave them behind.

"Let's go back."

"Yes. My Lady."

"Anna bowed her head when she saw the tears flowing down my face. I made up my mind. Crying every step out of the garden.

The long and unrequited love had now finally ended.

Someone knocked on his office door. If someone had asked for an audience during business hours without an appointment, they would have been refused.

However, I couldn't send Trish back. I had just looked at her for a while and accepted her offer to join her at the garden.

"I know you're busy, but I wanted to spend some time with you." She said, lowering her gaze.

"Okay well, what can I do?"

"Thank you Reign." Trish said with a soft voice.

Trish turned her eyes toward me. She was looking at me with a familiar smile I remembered.

Nothing seemed to change. He would have thought he'd gone back to the time when they loved each other unconditionally.

But now is not that time. The moment I saw her, I was surprised and Trish still cared about me. Even though I couldn't be with her. I thought she would be the only woman I ever looked at.

Trisha had been the object of admiration for me. That's why, I sometimes remember her leaving me to marry that merchant. I felt really heartbroken.

But why was my heart not responding when I saw her back?

There was no longing.

She was the same as the one I loved years ago. But now I don't feel the same way as when we were once lovers.

"Be careful Trish."

She giggled.

"Thank you, Rein."

Trisha tripped and I instinctively grabbed her. I felt cold when she started getting close to me. I slowly released her. I guess I've become sensitive to other women touching me, if they weren't Lian.

I saw Trisha clenched her fists and looked at me. She must have been surprised.

"...I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Rein."

I looked at her as if nothing had just happened.

"Are you feeling okay now, Trish? What did the doctor say about your condition?"

"Yes he said that I'm slowly recovering now."

"That's good. Just inform me when you will be returning to the Barony."

Trisha opened her eyes as if she hadn't expected it.

"What?" Trisha's voice trembled.
