I never thought of leaving Reinhart's side. The future of leaving Reinhart to protect me and my child comes to mind. I caressed my belly.

'I need to be strong.' I thought to myself.

Ever since Trisha made those accusations Reinhart always looked at me with contempt as if I am the most evil being ever existed in this world.

I was sitting in my study. I couldn't avoid this problem anymore. Today I had to make a decision that would change my life.

Since the night that I heard them talking about divorcing me. I was thinking that he was going to be happy with her. I need to give up.

As I finished writing a letter that I would be giving to him when I left. I signed the divorce paper.

I sigh.

I'm going to end things with Reinhart now. I was already guessing what his reaction would be.

I clenched my fist at the emotions that were going through my heart.

Then, came the worried voice of Anna.

I sent Anna a letter informing her of my plans.

"My Lady, are you okay?" She seemed worried about what caused me to stop moving.

I took a deep breath.

"Yes. It's just...it feels...I don't know."

I give her a weak smile.

"No matter how much you love someone. There's always an end."

I didn't want this page towards him to really end. I dreamt that there would still be a ray of hope left between us.

I started walking toward his office with the divorce paper in hand. I wanted to hear his voice for the last time.

In front of his office.

"Is the Duke not here?"

"That is..."

I asked the servant again. This was unusual because at this time he would still be busy with his paper works. But he's not here.

I looked at the servant with a cold stare.

"Where is the Duke now?"

The servant was restless, unable to answer me. Suddenly, I remember Trisha.

"Is the Duke's with Trisha?"

The servant's eyes widened, he was startled by my question.

Even if I didn't hear the answer. I already knew it.

"...He's in the garden of the South Palace." The servant replied in a trembling voice.

Clenching my hands tightly with the tension that came up from my fingertips, I soon turned to the direction where the garden is located.

In the lush confines of the greenhouse, Caecilian witnesses Reinhart in an intimate embrace with his former love, Trisha and hears Reinhart's voice.

"Be careful, Trish."

At the same time, the sound of cheerful laughter rings into my ears.

I stopped at the entrance of the garden as I stared at the scene that looked so perfect. Under the sunny weather, a man holding a beautiful woman in his arms is also looking at him lovingly.

The sight pierces my heart, now that I've checked on them, I no longer have any hope for the future of the two of us.

Overwhelmed with pain and weight of her unrequited love, Caecilian makes a gut-wrenching decision to leave Reinhart and withhold the news of her pregnancy from him.
