Zyva had always been the most phlegmatic kid in the lot. She basically never cared about a thing. Her heart was never in the right place where she needed to put her hundred percent into a task.

She was however somehow the most prodigious in any activity she did. Even though her efforts were the most sleazy. Being born in a family full of colossal achievers was her only advantage in life.

Sometimes there were days where all she wanted to do was lay on her bed and stare at her celestial painted ceiling. She never got bored of that atleast. Her thoughts were always aimless, but this was the one activity she didn't might participating in. Anyone who dared to try disturb her me-time wouldn't hear the end of it. She was also quite the grump, you see.

When she got to know she was going to get married to Aaban; her ex fiance.
She hated every second of it. Even though career wise things were really pretentiously unnerving for her, she liked the idea of half heartedly doing her job more so than getting married to some liability for life.

But, alas just when she thought she'd escaped marriage, she found herself deployed within the fingers of a devil named Azlan Sikandar.

Azlan Sikandar. Azlan Bhai she had used to call him. How the relational dynamics had changed was so horrendously marvelling to her, to say the least. She had always hated him and he seemed to reciprocate the feelings as well. Why you might ask?

Azlan was too much of a controlling narcissist in her eyes. He never left a chance to taunt her unladylike qualities and lack of appeal in following the social norms. Her sister would disagree because he was the most endearing gentleman to everyone around him, everyone but her.

Zyva wondered what went on in his obnoxious mind everytime he scowled or looked at her in disgust. He had always been this way with her but after his two broken engagement his loathfulness only amplified.

Their families had been as thick as thieves since the very beginning of times, reason being their respective mothers and fathers were best friends. So it was only natural every weekend, every family get together and every vacation they locked horns.

The infamous grump Zyva Qureshi and the beloved spawn of Satan Azlan Sikandar. What a terrific match they were. Surely made in hell.

"Zyva beta, aap khana kha kyu nahi rahi? Accha nahi laga kya?" Questioned her mother in law dragging her away from the abyss of hatred filled thoughts.

(Why are you not eating? Is it not good?)

Before she could form a coherent response, her brother in law, Ammar, chirped in giving his two cents.
"Arey Mummy, she is missing her husband obviously. Why else wouldn't she eat?."

Zyva stomped her heel on his leg under the  table causing him to help in pain as she smiled sadistically replying.

"Nahi Ruba Aunty. The food is great. I am just not hungry."

"Yaar tameez karlo kuch meri tum. Aese koi maarta hai. Ek lauta devar hoon tumhare mein." Ammar cried stealing a piece of chicken from her plate as she tried stabbing his finger.

(Have some respect for me. Who hits like that. I am your only brother in law.)

"Ammar!" His father's voice followed with a smack on his head. "Bhabhi bulao Zyva ko ab. Ye tum-tum kya hai."

(Call her sister-in-law)

"Abba Jaan. Mein toh bus woh gaana ga raha tha. Wo tumma tumma doge tumma."Ammar giggled nervously trying to cover up causing all of the people seated on the dining table to shake their heads in disappointment.
