Chapter 14: just playing

(You are now 19 and it's been one year since you left) (you have now lost two lives because you got killed in a fight when you accidentally entered the Deep Dark.)

I walked around the woods even tho I knew how easy I got lost. At least I now had learned to use my abilities better now and I knew how to track down my own smell if I needed to get back.

I was so hungry. I hadn't eaten for days and I don't know where all the animals had gone.
I looked up over the trees to see a big smoke cloud coming from north east.
I didn't know how much longer I would make it without food so I decided to take the risk and walk over to where the fire came from.
As I got closer, it looked like some kind of parade.
It was flags all over the place and people danced and there was this big fire that they was sitting around and talked and laughed.
I had my sad smilie face mask on that I made with inspiration form an old friend to hide my scales and then I also had this hoodie so that people couldn't see my scales on my arms and back.
I also had the hood up so that they couldn't see the scales that went on my neck too. There was a lot of people and I didn't really know where to go.
There was music and people laughing and dancing and talking and there was kids running around. I just spun around in circles trying to calm myself down but it was so much for my head and there was so many sounds.
When I died my outside didn't change but my senses and mind had changed a bit.

I couldn't take it all in. There was this girl who asked me if I was okey.
She was the last thing I saw her because after that I got eaten by the darkness that surrounded my vision.
I woke up on a couch in a house made of dark oak. In the room there was this fire place that was on.

Lucky as I was, the one that I was at hadn't taken off my mask so I was still unknown.

This girl suddenly opened the door, she had blink long hair and looked really kind. After her there came a man.
He had a black hood and red horns on his head. Probably some kind of demon hybrid.

He had a diamond sword on his back but he's facial expressions were calm so I didn't worry.

He and the girl sat down in front of me and started to talk.

"How are you feeling?"

She started to ask. I told her that I felt fine and she smiled. The two of them asked me some questions, some a little weirder and some normal questions like where I came from and why I was here. Suddenly the door flew up as a guy in white clothes rushed in.

"Dad do this look good?!"

It didn't take a long time before I recognised the face in white.

"Son, I'm trying to take care of someone here. And yes it looks good."

The dad answered. The guy turned his back to us and walked away.

"What was that about?"

I asked the guy.

"oh I'm so sorry, my. Son is getting married today and he is very nervous."

I got an idea.

"Do you mind if I share some words with him, I think I know how to make him calmer."

The father looked sceptical for a moment but then nodded before leading me to the guy's room and knocked.
The guy in white opened the door and looked confused.

"He says he wants to talk to you"

the father says and turns around to walk away. He let me in to his room as he don't know what else to do. I could hear on his pulse that he was very stressed and nervous.

"Why are you so nervous?"

I asked him. He rushed around in the room doing something but answered my question.
