Halloween 8: Michael Returns

Chapter 1

   It was dark outside, very quiet and the halloween decorations lit up the streets of Haddonfield. Alyssa was making popcorn. She had blonde hair, in a messy bun, she was short and attractive. "Hey, get off that iPad, you've been on it all night." She said to Tom, the 7 year old boy she was babysitting. The blinds were closed, the only light was the light on in the kitchen and living room, it was dark upstairs. "Fine." He said, sighing. "Don't give me an attitude please, I really don't want to say anything to your parents." Alyssa said, giving a fake smile to Tom. "Do you want some popcorn?" She asked handing him the popcorn bucket. "Yes!!" Tom said, grabbing a handful. "Listen, you gotta go to sleep in 10 minutes so I suggest you go upstairs and brush your teeth." she said, patting his back. "Um... Alyssa?" he said quietly. "Yeah?" She said, "It's really scary up there at night, can you come up with me?" Tom said. "Yeah, of course, let's go." Lyss said, grabbing his hand and walking up the stairs. "Okay go brush your teeth, i'll be waiting outside the bathroom door." Alyssa said smiling. Tom cracked the door, scared to close it fully just in case something jumped out of the shower curtain, he could run out fast. The shower curtain moved a bit and Tom looked at the shower curtain and slowly moved towards it, he opened it fast and jumped back. He sighed in relief, no one was there. He grabs his toothbrush and starts to brush his teeth and hum. A glass cracking sound came from downstairs. Alyssa looks down the stairs and sees the door slightly open. But it was locked, she thought to herself. Her eyes go wide. She opens the bathroom door. "Tom, stay in the bathroom and hide in the shower curtain, do as I say!!" She said, Tom nodded "What's going on Alyssa?" "No time for questions Tom, just do it." She said shutting the bathroom door. "Lock the door." She said as Tom did as she said. She slowly walked down the stairs, leaves coming into the house due to the breeze. She closes the door and locks it, then she grabs a pool cue from the pool table and walks around. "Anyone in here, I suggest you leave right now." She said finding a broken vase on the floor. She swallows hard as she looks into the kitchen. Suddenly a dark shape pops up behind her as she slowly turns her head and screams, she whacks the stick across Michaels face as he grunts, she runs up the stairs tripping, she knew Tom was safe so she didn't want him to be noticed, so she passed the bathroom and ran into one of the bedrooms and shut the door locking it, she hid in the closet. Michael kicks down the door and walks in. Alyssa covered her own mouth, just in case she made a noise. Michael walks towards the closet as tears run down Alyssa's face. Michael breaks down the closet and takes Alyssa by the feet and drags her out, she screams. She tries to hit him with the pool cue but it doesn't work. Michael takes his knife and goes to stab her as she stops him with her hands. He is pushing down as she is pushing up. He overpowers her and stabs the knife into her chest. Alyssa screams in pain as Michael stabs again and again. Alyssa lied there, dead.
        Michael leaves the house and walks out, as Tom gets out of the tub and unlocks the bathroom door. He walks out into the hallway... "Alyssa?" he called out, no response. Tom walks into the master bedroom and finds Alyssa dead, the blood everywhere, he screams as he parents get home. John and Molly Tate walk into the house and the whole first floor is empty. "Alyssa? Tom?" Molly calls out. She walks upstairs confused and walks into Tom's bedroom and he wasn't there. John gets in front of Molly and opens the door seeing Tom looking at Alyssa's dead body. Molly and John scream at the top of their lungs.
