Halloween 8: Michael Returns

Chapter 4

Present Day

        Tom put his bags on the couch and went up to Molly. "Mom? I have a question." He said playing with his finger. "Go for it." She said taking her jacket off. "Can we visit grandma at the mental institution today?" Tom said, looking down. "Uh... yeah sure if you want to." Molly said, sighing. Tom hugged his mom and smiled walking up the stairs into his room shutting the door. He calls his friend Zack and his girlfriend Mia into a merge call. They both pick up, "Hey guys, guess what?" Tom said as they both said "What?!" at the same time. "My mom is letting me see my grandma today, I can't wait, I haven't seen her in like a year." Tom said. "Aww that's great!!" Mia said. "Dude, that's awesome, let us know how it goes." Zack said. "I definitely will." Tom said smiling.
        Molly sighs getting ready to see Laurie, John was working the late shift so she had no choice but to go without him, and she definitely didn't want to see her tomorrow, it's Halloween, Laurie would be going crazy. Molly took her keys and put her coat on yet again. "Tom we're leaving!!" She screams as Tom opens the door and walks downstairs. "Okay let's go." Tom said. They get into the truck and lock the door and she starts driving.
        Sarah, one of the workers at Smiths Grove walks to Laurie's room and takes her keys and unlocks the door. She walks in and Laurie is staring out her window. "Hey Laurie, you got visitors." Sarah said, stepping out of the way so Tom and Molly can step in the room. She closes the door. "Hey grandma!" Tom said. Laurie looks at Tom and smiles just a bit. She gets up and hugs him. "Are you okay? You seem off." Tom said, questioning Laurie. "Hey Molly." Laurie said, completely ignoring the question. "Hey Laurie." She said, smiling slightly. "Where is John?" Laurie asks. "Um, he's working, I'm sorry but next time we come we will make sure he comes." Molly said. "Michael is back..." Laurie said. "What?" Molly said. "When did you find this out?" Molly said. "I knew the night I got here, he escaped but didn't know I was here." Laurie said. "So you never told me or John that he was back?" Molly said, raising her voice. "I didn't want you guys to worry." Laurie said. "Well now you got me worrying right now, how come it's been so many years and he never came back to kill a single person in Haddonfield?" Molly said. "I don't know, but I'm just getting a weird feeling that he's coming back tomorrow." Laurie said. "I can't believe you never told us." Molly said. "Listen, we should go now." Tom said not wanting them to fight more. "Yeah I agree, bye Laurie." Molly said with an attitude and left the room. Molly gets in the car with Tom and calls John. "Hey babe." He answered. "Hey honey... I have some news for you." Molly said. "Oh god, what happened?" John asked. "So we visited Laurie today and she said that Michael is back, he escaped the night it all happened." Molly said. "Oh god, what the fuck?!" John said really mad. "Hey wouldn't she tell us?" He asked. "I don't know but all I know is tomorrow is Halloween and she feels like he might come back." Molly said. "Okay... got it, I'll start to go home now." John said worried. "Bye babe." He said. "Bye." Molly said, hanging up the phone.
