Lauryn's P.O.V.

I pulled up to the building where I was hosting David's surprise birthday party. I was acting like I was forgetting his birthday all day today driving him mad. I called his family and I flew them all the way out to Boston where we are. I also called my family and had them come down for his birthday also. His team mates were more then happy to have been invited so hopefully David will forgive me. He's going to be so happy due to the fact he hasn't seen his mom in a very long time. I found a parking space not to far from the door to the place making it a very short walk. David hasn't been in the best mood since I 'forgot' his birthday. I opened my car door stepping out onto the concrete as he climbed out of the car on the opposite side. I straightened out my dress which was just a simple black dress and I closed my door adjusting the strap to my purse. I walked around the car and joined David on the sidewalk. I walked up to him with a smile and he had a straight face across his face.
"What are we doing now?" He asked with a hint of annoyance in his voice and I laughed lightly.
"It's a surprise." I spoke with a smile kissing his cheek gently.
"You told me that all day. Then you forgot something very important." He spoke wrapping a single arm around my lower back as we walked slowly to the door.
"Well I called my mom like I promised. I don't know what else there was." I spoke making his scoff as we walked up to the door of the building. I pulled the door open and we walked threw slowly. I led him the way to the hallway his party was being held in.
"There was something else." He spoke quietly a little disappointed.
"I don't think so." I spoke just trying to buy time as we walked slowly. We came to a small stop just in front of the door to the party room. He had his hands on my waist and I had my hands on his forearms.
"Babe you never have forgotten my birthday. Why are you acting like you did?" He spoke quietly and I smiled a little. "This isn't funny. I have never forgotten yours." He spoke shaking his head and I stepped on my tip toes and kissed his lips. His lips on mine and I smiled against his lips. I pulled away slowly just before things got to carried away. He rested his forehead against mine as I closed my eyes to take a minute to just catch my breath.
"Maybe I did maybe I didn't." I spoke with a light smile and he stood up straight looking me in the eye. I took his hand and pushed open the door dragging him into the room slowly. Everyone in the room came together and I stood next to David.
"Surprise!" They all yelled together making him laugh a little.
"I can't believe this. Thank you." He spoke with a small laugh as he had a hand on his chest.
"Why would you think I'd forget your birthday?" I spoke with a smile as he pulled me in for a hug.
"I don't know. I just can't describe how I'm feeling. Thank you." He spoke quietly before letting go of me. His mother made her way up slowly to us with a smile. David ran up to her wrapping her in a hug as he smiled.
"I can't believe this." He spoke shaking his head as everyone talked and laughed as the night went on. David found himself next to me for most of the night making small talk with people. He had an arm around my waist with a smile on his face. That smile hasn't left at all since we've gotten here.
"Thank you so much." He spoke whispering in my ear and I smiled up at him.
"Your welcome." I spoke kissing his cheek gently and he pulled me in for a small hug.
"I love you so much." He whispered in my ear as he rubbed my back gently.
"I love you too." I spoke quietly with a smile. I love you, David. I really do.
