Spaceboy's P.O.V
It's been quite a while since we last left Otherworld for the rescue mission. But we're finally nearing Copper 9. The last time we went, a space pirate somehow got left behind. Which should really have never happened, since I'm always, always careful of my crew. But here we are. My crew have before long finished their preparations for landing, and I've configured the computers for entry. I can see the red, almost earth like exoplanet through the viewport. It must have been habitable at some point, but obviously not anymore. It is barren, desolate and completely frozen over. That poor space pirate. I wonder if they've even survived. We're now entering the atmosphere of Copper 9. Ignoring the excited chatter of the space pirates, I turned on the engines to push us out of orbit so we could land. We get pulled towards Copper 9 and we're falling through the atmosphere.

"Alright, we've landed. Let's fucking go," I announced, as my crew prepares to leave the Mercury Retrograde. As the temperature on Copper 9 is lethally cold, we have to wear these really large, puffy jackets. Admittedly, they do look a bit strange. But it's better than dying to hypothermia.
"We've got all our stuff, Sir. I'll go open the door." A space pirate reported, putting on his jacket. I gave him a thumbs up and he moved to go open the airlock door. The metallic door slid open, and we all exited the Retrograde. I stepped out onto the snow-covered landscape, the blizzard relentless. The sky was dark. "Holy shit, I can barely even see." I heard a space pirate remark.
"You guys all got your torches?" I asked. The space pirates all nodded and took them out, turning them on. These aren't just those shitty torches you can buy for 60 cents at a store. These are high power, heavy duty torches made specifically for occasions like these. I take my one out as well and switch it on. We make our way through the forlorn terrain, searching for the missing pirate. Tall, corporate buildings tower over us. Broken lamplights flicker on and off, trying their hardest to function as normal. Mangled pieces of robots were littered around. Clearly, none of the AI we met last time is anywhere near. We made our way through the snowstorm, pointing our torches in every direction. Some space pirates are starting to search through the buildings. I was about to join them when i thought i saw something fly overhead, a quick blur. I looked up to check and was met with nothing. Well that isn't unsettling at all. I entered one of the buildings and it was almost as bare as outside. It barely contained anything except stray bits of furniture, and a couple of broken computers. Official looking papers were strewn on the floor, defaced with crazed scrawls i couldn't read.
"What the hell happened to this place?" I muttered, cautiously making my way to the next room.
"I don't think there's anyone here, Sir. Me and the other space pirates have already searched." A space pirate reported.
"The whole building?"
"Mhm."
"Oh, ok. Let's clear out then. There's a lot more of these buildings." I said, raising my voice so the rest of them could hear me. We exited the building, returning to the cold. I saw a group of space pirates checking under a pile of debris and seemingly finding nothing. This might take a while.

I'm not entirely sure how long we've been here. Maybe an hour, perhaps two. But we haven't really found anyone yet. Everything's starting to look the same and a lot of the space pirates are starting to lose hope. Even I am a little. But I don't want to give up! I forgot we even had a rescue mission today, and showed up one hour late. I have to at least commit to this!
"Hold on, guys, look at this," A space pirate suddenly said, pointing at a spot in the snow. I didn't see anything at first, but after someone's torch light illuminated the floor, I noticed a faintly glowing, bright, yellow acid burning into the snow. Looked new.
