The following morning Salem woke up to the pain in her chest starting to increase. Last night it felt like dull throbbing but now it felt like someone was gently squeezing her heart. Groaning at the discomfort, Salem rolled over and buried her face into Godric's neck. At feeling his mate curl up against him, Godric wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer.

"God morgon älskling, (Good morning, love)," Godric said in Swedish as he kissed the top of her head. "How do you feel?"

"It feels like someone is squeezing my heart, it's not that painful but it isn't pleasant either," Salem said as she cuddled closer to her mate's side.

"It's from being so far from Eric. The longer the two of you are apart the worse the pain will get. It normally takes a few days for mates to feel the type of pain you're feeling," Godric said, worried for his mate.

"Do you think it has something to do with how I'm able to read minds," Salem asked.

"It's possible love," Godric said. "But for now we must get up and get ready for school. If the pain gets too much, I will bring you home and call my son. I refuse to allow you to stay in pain because we are still both mad at him."

"Okay," Salem said kissing her mate before getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day.

Godric smiled at his mate before he grabbed his clothes and went to a second bathroom to shower before he went to the kitchen to make breakfast. Once Salem was finished in the shower she dried off, styled her hair in two Frech braids, and applied light makeup before making sure the towel was secure around her body before she went to her closet to find an outfit for the day. Salem decided on a camouflage dress, a leather jacket, and black knee-high boots.
