When Godric arrived at the Stackhouse residence luck was not on his side. Sookie's car was still there but so was Jason's truck. Sighing Godric looked over at his sleeping mate, he hates that she's hurting and all because of his prodigy. Getting out of the car Godric vamped to the other side of the car and carefully got Salem out without waking her. As soon as he got to the front door it opened to reveal Jason leaving.
"Oh hey Godric, just getting back from a date with Em?" Jason asked as he saw the old vampire with his sister asleep in his arms.
"We never even got to go," Godric said sadly as he felt his mate's pain.
He walked in pasted the oldest Stackhouse and took Salem to her room.
"Godric, back so soon? You guys only left like an hour and a half ago." Sookie said as Godric came down the stairs.
"Something happened."
"What, what happened to my babysitter?" Jason asked, his voice full of concern and anger.
"When we got to Fangtasia we went to get Eric from his office, only he wasn't alone. He was having sex with one of his dancers on his desk, and Salem was the one to walk in on them."
"That motherfucking prick. I thought that he gave up sleeping around for Em?" Jason asked as he threw a dish towel in pure anger.
"He told me that the dancer came onto him and that he had a moment of weakness. Eric never intended to hurt Salem and he feels nothing but guilt for what he's done. I'm going to take Salem away for a few months, she needs time to process what's happened and be away from Eric. I will tell him where we are after a month of them being separated so Salem won't be in constant pain due to the distance. What happened did a good amount of damage to their mating bond, even mine and Salem's." Godric said as he looked at the two older Stackhouse siblings.
"Where are you going to take her," Sookie asked as she sat next to the Gaul Vampire at the kitchen table.
"To Washington, that's all I'm going to say. Don't want Eric to glamor either of you to tell him where our mate is. Besides I have a friend in Washington who will help keep her safe."
"You'll stay with her, make sure she's okay?" Jason asked as he sat on the other side of Godric.
"Of course, I'll get her a house and put it in her name so that no uninvited vampires can enter. I'll keep her safe and since I was turned at seventeen I'll enroll in school to keep her safe and help if reading all the new minds becomes too much."
Both Jason and Sookie continued to speak with Godric and finally both older Stackhouse siblings had agreed to allow Godric to take their sister to Washington. After speaking to the older siblings Godric made his way towards Salem's room where he stayed with her till just before sunrise due to having a lot into due before leaving with Salem the next day. When Salem woke the next morning, memories from the night before continued to flash in front of her eyes. Looking at her phone Salem saw the picture of Eric and Godric that she had taken a few weeks ago. The two were arguing about something stupid and Eric was looking down at his shorter maker.
