39 - House of memories

Once we were out of the hospital, mom came and picked up me and Phantom so that we could go to the house. We rode the bus since she didn't have a car. It was pretty fun because we sat in those fancy high seats at the end of the shuttle. 

When we arrived to the house, it looked pretty much the same.. Outside atleast. The inside, I'm pretty sure it was robbed. Everything was thrown everywhere, the walls were ripped apart, AND IT SMELLED LIKE SHREKS BATH WATER.

Though it was nice to be here one last time. Oh, you're probably thinking I can just visit here when I want or that I should've lived here with my mom. Well, someone apparently bought the house and is moving into the house so that rules that out of moving back here.

Mom considered us to live on bluemoon but figured it may have been dangerous. Ahem, Lunice. She got a portal from mother so we'll go back there to visit every now and then.

I sigh as I enter my old room. Like most of the others, it was trashed. But it wasn't as bad as I say it is. The walls weren't really torn or ripped, the room was a little more messy than how I remember, but still! It wasn't bad.

I go to my closet to get my old clothes and whatever the hell I had in there. Inside was only a few clothes on hangers. I grab them of the hanger so I don't break them and throw the clothes into my bag. No I don't have a suitcase, just a trash bag and a backpack. I grab the last hanger and hold it in my hands. It was the blue hoodie that Echo gave me. Kinda funny how I remembered that. Well probably because of how little my clothing options were. I take out the hanger and throw the hoodie in.

'That should be all in the closet..' I thought to myself as I turn around to see where else I could check for anything else I could check for my old belongings. The white desk with a couple books in it caught my eye. I walk over to it and check what books there were. The desk had a small cupboard on the side of it so I checked inside there.

A few more books were shoved inside as I pulled all of them out. Since they didn't look like library books, I just put them in my bag. Well one of them was a library book. 'The Supernatural Creatures of the In-Between.'

If you remember, that's the book I read to help find out what I was. Which was.. I believe about two to three month ago.. and it's a library book.. meaning I have to give it back.. and it's probably overdue. 'I'll return it once we're out of here' 

I put it on the desk and continue cleaning out my room. Well, old room.

When I finished I leave and look for mom and Phantom who were in the kitchen. "Got everything?" Mom asked as she saw me coming towards them. "Yea"

"Alright, I'll bring your bags to their house while you two go hang out. Sound good?" I nod at her question. "You two can go ahead, Cres is going to pick me up and you guys can text us when you want to go home"

"Okay, see you later" I say as mom takes my bags and waves bye. Phantom and I leave the abandoned house as he asks. "So, café?"

"Yea, uh- Do you mind that after we go to the library? I have to return something"

He smiles and nods. "Okay"

The café was walking distance so we obviously walked, talking about stuff. Once we reached it, we enter inside being greeted with the same pastel themed restaurant. A familiar face stood behind the counter but was upset while talking to a creature with blonde hair. 

"Come on" I say as we walk up. Phantom waited near the pick-up area and I went to through the employee door. 

I walk behind Alexis and listen to what she's saying.
