Flug had lost all of his senses, he didn't even know if Jamie was with him anymore. He couldn't see, or hear anything, a lot like what his form of hell was. The poor scientist couldn't even panic, all of his senses where gone, he couldn't even feel his own heart beat.
That was until everything slowly started to regain itself, his mind, his heart, his shape, his feeling, his breathing and finally, his eyesight. You could've described it as waking up from being asleep for hundreds of years. Flug opened his blurry eyes only for them to shut again to the overwhelming presence of a bright green light. He finally gained himself enough to open his eyes again and notice a dim wall lamp that his eyes where set on.
"Flug! Flug!!"
His hearing.......is that?....
"Flug! Wake up!"
Flug opened his heavy eyes even more to see that he was sat in a type of office room. He lifted his head up and saw a giant desk in front of him and a chair, it looked like someone was sitting in it.
"Jamie, where are we?.."
Flug was mid rubbing his eyes when a way deeper and serious voice answered him.
"You're home."
Flug shot up with his heart racing. The voice scared him to such an extent that it made his heart flutter and his face turn red! Unless it was something else......
The scientist could now sense that Jamie was sitting next to him and the Black Hat fellow was in front of him. Well, it wasn't really much of a man anymore. In front of Flug was a tall demon man with one gleaming white eye, the other one was covered by what seemed to be a glass monocle covering his left eye.
Flug felt like he should be scared but he couldn't help but admire the demon's appearance. If he was going to be honest the demon didn't even look scary, it still had some human characteristics. Like uh, eyes and a uh....mouth, with really sharp teeth, and umm, no-no nose... With a slight glance down at the demon's hands Flug noticed his long sharp claws and couldn't help but shudder.
The two scientists stopped analysing the demon when it's large hand suddenly slammed hard onto the desk. They looked up at it, noticing it's smile never left it's face, even in room filled with this much tension.
Flug finally began to read the room when he heard blood curling screams coming from just outside the two large doors behind them.
"Flug, I do take offence to you facing away from me, do I scare you?"
The scientist turned forward only to see that what he thought would be an angry expression, to be an expression of pure satisfaction. The demon seemed to think Flug was playing hard to get..
"I'm sorry, I just....."
Flug couldn't find his words, he was thinking back to the old disheveled man he saw running trying to save them. To be honest Flug didn't even know what there was to be saved from yet, he didn't know anything.
"No need for your apologies."
The demon discontinued the scientist's claims and fixed his own tie with a smug look.
"I know, I look very different. I am Black Hat. Your new boss."
The room fell silent, neither of the two newbies could comprehend what they where hearing. Black Hat sat up smiling for a few moments before his face dropped in annoyance.
"Well?"
Jamie shook his head in disbelief.
"No, No! T-That's not right! Your evil!"
Jamie shot up from his seat and started to run and slam his fists into the big strong oak wood doors after seeing they where locked. Black Hat's frown curved up into a grin, clearly no good intentions.
What happened next Flug could never piece together in his mind, a type of moment he would see every time he closed his eyes for one second too long.
The doors flew open. On the other side was a beast, a being that looked like it was born from pure fire and evil and everything else that would make a person scream in agony.
Jamie didn't even know what to do, all he could do was stare blankly at what was clearly a being from a different world. However, he didn't have long to stare before he was impaled by a giant claw, straight through his heart and stomach. Jamie didn't even have enough time for his last breath before he was dragged ruthlessly into the blazing fire on the other side and the doors slammed behind him. The next thing Flug heard was the shredding sound of Jamie's body being ripped limb from limb. There where no screams, Jamie must have died on impact.
[SILENCE]
Only a single thing managed to escape Flug's lips.
"J-Jamie?..."
