"Sir!" the older officer called entering the room.

Hicks held the door, as he gestured for the officer to come in. Standing by the table at the end of the room were four gentlemen, all dressed in black suits and shiny shoes. The two older officers frowned upon Sergeant William Spivey, while the other two held folders in their hands. Hicks closed the door quickly and took his place next to Buck. The newcomer observed curiously.

"Sergeant!" one of the men greeted, with a quick nod of the head.

Buck nodded quietly in response, holding his ground.

Another gentleman stepped forward and extended his hand, "Lieutenant Connor Doyle, representative of NYPD's liason program with the military forces." he paused, while both shook hands. "Sergeant Randall Velez, Colonel Zeke Thomas and Colonel Matt Dweir." he said pointing at each men.

All three nodded and shook hands with the newcomer. Hicks stayed back and stared at the participants in silence.

"Sergeant William Spivey, but you can call me Buck."

"Very well" the man answered. "Your commander here says you have among the best officers in this unit."

"Yes, sir!" he responded proudly.

"Well, our office is in the process of developing a new project in collaboration with local law enforcement. The Community Enhancement Complete Protection Program is still in its infancy, as we are in the process of candidate selections, interest inventory surveys and orientations."

Buck nodded silently, while listening closely.

"We are interested in two of your top officers to participate in a seminar this weekend. Our program will cover all expenses, including transportation, dinning and attire. Candidates must have training in at least one specialized area of combat, law or any other related matter."

The first gentleman to speak took a step forward and continued, "We are interested in your participation, along with another officer. However, Commander Hicks informs us that you are being called to testify in a murder investigation..?"

"Yes, it has been a long trial. After several delays and a couple of months into the investigation, the prosecution finally resumed the process." Commander said annoyed, nodding his head slowly.

"Ok, well, how about a second in command?" the first man asked.

"Do you have two officers with military or combat training?" the second urged.

Buck took a second to think. He shot a look at Hicks, who placed his hands inside of his pant's pockets. Then he returned his gaze to the men in suits.

"As a matter of fact, all of our officers endure rigorous combat and specialized training. But-" I do. Officer Harrelson was promoted to our squad a short while ago, but I think he'd be the perfect candidate. Alongside him, I'll recommend a very promising officer as well, Officer David Kay. He is in the process of studying for the sergeant's exam. This opportunity can boost his confidence going in to the test!"

Hicks frowned, but kept silence.

"Sounds great. Our bus will arrive here to pick them up on Friday at six hours. The convention will take place in the Blue Coast Military installations. Their stay will have a duration of 30 hours. The officers wont need to bring any materials, for our office will provide everything they will require. Thank you sergeant! Thank you Commander! That will be all for us."
