Author's Notes: Did you know that before becoming Swat, Officer Victor Tan dreamed of being the best undercover detective? He wanted to work the highest and most dangerous ops! However, somewhere along the way, life taught him that sometimes what we really want is not necessarily how we want it. Read to find out how Victor Tan's life took a turn!

As always: keep an opened mind! Remember that I'm not employed by CBS or work with any of the writers of the show, so I can modify as I wish. I hope you enjoy!

"Shots fired! Shots fired! Officer down!" Shouted the voice on the other line of the talkie.

Several patrol cars met in the horrific scene, where 3 bodies were left mutilated in an alley in a crowded part of town. Between the screams, people running everywhere, car tires screeching, gun shots and more, young Officer Victor Tan ran after a perp who had escaped the scene on foot.

Tan ran at the speed of light, which meant the suspect didn't stand a chance! Even though the sweaty man was on a broke down bicycle, there were so many obstacles in the street. So, even if he wanted to, he couldn't pedal as fast as possible. Street vendors, pedestrians running to all sides, debris, garbage disposals, vegetation...it was tough to make ways!

"STOP! STOP!" Officer Tan yelled, as they took a turn down an isolated street.

Running with a loose tie made things very difficult and uncomfortable for the officer, not to mention the dress shoes and pants he was wearing. The long white buttoned shirt was already soaked in sweat, as the young officer ran after the man on the bicycle.

"STOP! STOP!" he called repeatedly.

The man picked up speed, since now he had little to no obstruction on his way. Suddenly...

PLAT!

The back wheel hit something on the ground, causing the man to loose control of the bike and strike violently against a metal gate. The commotion drew a crowd, as nosy neighbors looked through blinds and half opened windows. The man's body was thrown against the gate, which was half his height. When he let go of the handlebars, half of the body struck the railing and the other side twisted backwards, creating a loud sound.

CRACK

"AHHHHH"  the man yelled in pain.

Officer Tan approached as fast as he could, but by the time he made it to the scene, the man had stopped breathing altogether. The bent body landed on the ground, dead still.

"Damn!" he lamented between breaths, placing both hands on his pants and leaning back, trying to catch his breath.

The neighbors gasped in terror and disbelief, while the officer just stared at the bent figure, now lying awkwardly on the sidewalk.

Without him realizing it, a young lady leaned on the window of the neighboring house and called out, "Did you throw something at his tire? You killed him!"

In between breaths, the young man turned to her, but before he could reach into his pocket to show her his badge and actually have enough breath to respond amply loud for her to here, a car came screeching in.

SSSSQQQUUUEAAAAKKK

"Get in! Just get in! Blue's on the way!" a young man called from the passenger side.

The young officer frowned confused. He didn't recognize the people in the car, even though they were dressed similarly to himself. He could make out long white shirts, ties and dress pants, one of the passengers in the back was even wearing a beret.
