"Where is he?" I asked, my hands tightening into fists.

"Yui, you'll just get yourself hurt, or worse, killed. I'm sure they're fine." Pain answered, his purple eyes staring through me.

"I didn't ask for your opinion. I asked where he is. Now tell me!" I yelled, slamming my fist into the wall. I made a large hole, shaking the dust off my hand.

Pain barely flinched, "the land of fire. But Yui please,  you can-"

"Pain, I'm going after him. You can't stop me. It's been over a week. I can't wait anymore." I told him, making my way towards the door.

"You don't even know where in the land of fire they are." Pain called after me.

I ignored him. I wasn't stupid. If he was with Kakuzu, then I only needed to check the bounty offices. Even if they weren't there, maybe I could get a lead on where they went.

I didn't take long to find the first bounty office. I was about to head inside when I noticed signs of a large battle. Half the ground was destroyed and there were kunai and shuriken everywhere.

"What the hell..." I mumbled to myself, heading over to check the scene out. Whoever was fighting, the battle must of been to the death. There was so much blood on the ground one would think someone was sacrificed here.

I felt my heart skip a beat as I spotted a body on the ground. It looked as if it had been there a while, early signs of decay already taking over. The stench was unbearable, but I had to see who it was.

I used my cloak to over my nose, making my way over to the corpse. I felt my blood run cold as I saw who it was. Kakuzu. All five of his hearts had been destroyed, the stitching all over his body beginning to tear and fall apart.

I felt my stomach churn, trying not to throw up at the sight. If Kakuzu was dead, then did that mean...

"H-Hidan!?" I called, praying he would answer me. The silence made my heart sink. Not even the sound of the wind or a bird chirp. Just eerie, dead silence.

My eyes suddenly caught the tree line. It looked as if there had been a large fire, trees and earth scorched to ashes, but it seems as if the fire had been confined to a small area.

I made my way towards it, coming across a large pit filled with boulders and rocks. What on earth happened here? I glanced over the rocks, spotting a small piece of black fabric sticking out. I made my way into the pit, carefully making my way to the fabric.

I pulled on it gently, unable to tear it from its place. I then began to dig the rocks away, revealing more of the fabric. I still couldn't tell exactly what it was, but the more I dug, the worse I felt.

Moving the final rock, I then realized what the fabric had been. A sleeve. Inside the sleeve was an arm, and attached to the arm was a hand. I held my breath as I looked at the hand. Dark green nail polish.

Hidan.

I thought my heart was going to stop. No. It couldn't be. I dug through the rocks frantically, trying to uncover him. But, all I found were parts. An arm, a leg, a piece of torso. What the hell had happened to him? I began to cry, yelling his name. He was immortal, I'd seen him beheaded and be fine. Surely being dismembered and buried wouldn't kill him.

Just when I thought all hope was lost, I finally found his head. He was bruised and bloody, but it was him. I grabbed his face gently,

"H-Hidan?" I said, choking on my own tears. He didn't move. I shook him a bit,
