"Come on Rosa" JJ groans annoyed while looking at his girlfriend who is sitting on a bar stool in the kitchen with her arms crossed and looking at him angrily.
"No JJ, have fun burying our best friend even though we don't even know if he's dead!" she raised her voice a bit and clenches her teeth. JJ looks at her and puts his hands to his head, taking a few steps back and forth.
"There are no signs of life from either of them" he says calmly, knowing by now how to deal with Rosa's temper. Rosa just laughs ironically and stands up, she takes her smoothie and goes to the fridge where she takes out a bottle of vodka and mixes the liquid into her smoothie, then she lifts the glass up "Arriba" she holds the glass down "abajo" then she holds the glass in the middle "al centro y pa' dentro" finally she takes a few sips. JJ watches her and takes a deep breath, he tries to take the glass from her, but Rosa walks past him and towards the stairs.
"Stop drinking, it's morning!" JJ says a little louder now and follows her, Gabriel comes out of his office and looks at them both. Rosa turns and looks at JJ, "You know what? You can sleep right at the Château tonight then" she smiles and drinks the liquid, Gabriel walks over to her and snatches the empty glass from her hand and immediately smells the vodka in it. He looks at her "¡Si sigues bebiendo tanto alcohol, te enviaré a rehabilitación!" he says in a loud voice, Rosa's smile disappears "And stop talking to JJ like that, he's right Rosalía!" Rosa looks at the floor and tears gather in her eyes, she is about to reach for her car keys, but Gabriel holds her wrist, "No." She looks at him and let's go of the key causing her father to let go of her hand, "Either you go with JJ or you go to your room."
JJ looks at her and yes he can understand her, she has lost three of the most important people in her life, but drinking won't get her anywhere. Rosa looks at him as well and a wave of guilt flows through her, "Okay..." she looks first at her father and then at JJ who nods and takes his motorcycle keys. The two walk silently outside and he puts his helmet on Rosa who is already on the bike, JJ sits in front of her and Rosa wraps her arms around his torso.
The ride to the Cut takes about 15 minutes, the two don't say a word to each other. JJ stops the motorcycle in front of the Château and Rosa feels nauseous, having never been back since that one night. JJ gently takes her helmet off and is about to ask if she's okay, but Rosa beats him to it, "I'm sorry about earlier. That wasn't fair of me" she looks him in the eye "I don't know either, as soon as someone mentions that subject I get so angry and sad... I'm sorry." JJ smiles and leans over to blow a kiss on the top of her head "I know, it's all good but" he looks at her seriously "Stop drinking, Rosa. It's not doing you any good." She nods and stands up, hugging him tightly and trying not to cry, knowing Pope and Kie are already waiting for the two of them. JJ returns the hug and strokes her hair.
