JJ looks first at her and then at her hand, he tears his eyes open and looks at her thigh where the bullet has streaked along. He immediately puts his hand under her thigh to stop the blood from dripping as it would land right on Rafe, the other hand he presses on her mouth as he sees she is about to scream.
Rosa reaches for his hand on her mouth and squeezes her eyes shut as she is about to go crazy. She leans her head against the branch and clenches her hands into fists. Her whole body tenses, she tries to think of something else, anything positive to get her out of this situation here.
Flashback: Rosa grabs JJ's hands, squealing, as he tickles her. She pushes him onto her bed and jumps on top of him, grinning, so she can tickle him now. JJ rolls under her with a laugh, "Okay stop please!" She laughs herself and then stops tickling him. JJ takes a grinning breath and looks into her eyes, he puts his hand on her cheek and strokes it gently before grabbing a pillow with his other hand and smacking it into her face with a smirk, Rosa flinches and laughs indignantly "You didn't do that you little fucker!" She grabs a pillow as well and hits him with it again and again until the feathers burst out of the pillow, JJ laughs repeatedly and then lifts her up, he puts his hands on her butt and Rosa wraps her legs around his waist, she eyes him with a grin. "JJ?" Her grin slowly fades and he furrows his eyebrows in confusion, "Yeah?" She falters for a while and looks away, feeling a little uncomfortable, asking "What is that between us?" JJ is quiet for a while before setting her down on her desk and standing between her legs, "What do you mean?" She looks at him and sighs, "Well you sleep at my place every night, my dad lets you live here and I'm with you every single second after school or practice. We kiss every day probably 50 times and you told me you love me. Are we just friends with certain benefits, or what are you and I?" He looks at her and strokes his fingertips up and down her thigh, "What do you want?" Rosa looks at him and draws her eyebrows together almost desperately, "Can't you imagine?" JJ nods slowly, "Probably the same thing I do, only I have no idea how to have a relationship. I know I want you, only you. And I also know that I want to tell every boy who looks at you that I'm your boyfriend and he's about to get his ass kicked. I just don't know if I would hurt you in a relationship, because I never want to do that." "Act the same way you've been acting the last few months. Unless you fucked some other girl, then you should still adjust that, but otherwise you were perfect. You make me so happy JJ and I finally want everyone on this island to know that you are my boyfriend."
"Let's go!", Rosa gets ripped out of her thoughts when she hears Barry yell again before Rafe finally runs away as well. John B and Sarah look at her with wide eyes and Sarah holds her hand in front of her mouth
JJ takes his hand off her mouth after a few minutes and Rosa takes a deep breath. "John B, help me. We need to get her down from the tree and see how deep the wound is" he looks at his best friend who just freezes looking at the blood running down her thigh "John B!" yells JJ snapping JB out of his stupor. He nods and climbs down from the tree, JJ supports Rosa and helps her sit down so JB can then support her by the waist while she climbs down. She contorts her face and whimpers a bit while holding onto John B's shoulders. He sets her down on a chair and looks at the wound.
